The New York based startup is creating a digital friend that can you can communicate with called Hugging Face. This new application is a chatbot app just like the famous “sim-simi”. If you have nothing to do and wants to have a chit chat with someone then you should download Hugging Face. Hugging Face is created for you to have a fun digital companion. It is like really talking to someone with emotions and not just a customer support bot. “There are many people working on artificial intelligence for productivity or utility applications,” co-founder and CEO Delangue told me back in September 2016 when the app was still in early private beta. “We’re building an AI so that you’re having fun talking with it. When you’re chatting with it, you’re going to laugh and smile — it’s going to be entertaining.”
Surprisingly, hugging face is entertaining, it is just like you are chatting with your best friend, when you send a text message the company tries very hard to interpret what you sent, it may contain pictures or emojis. The element of surprise is what is exciting because you cannot tell exactly if Hugging Face understood what you meant. Hugging face is interactive, it is not just you asking questions and talking about how your day went but hugging face can also do the same. The application appears to be just like any other messaging apps with chat bubbles, it has emojis too. It is not about replacing your friends but it is about someone you can talk to whenever you are not around with your friends. It is about having someone to listen to you anytime of the day.
Named after the “hugging face” emoji the app is now to be had for iOS for free. while it seems slightly counterintuitive to launch a model new app instead of using present chatbot platforms, reminiscent of Messenger, Skype, Telegram and more, the company is already excited about launching on 0.33-birthday celebration structures. With thousands of users aging from 13 to 20 years old already tested the application and Hugging Face was able to draw at least 50 interactions per day. The makers said that they made a mistake in focusing on the entertainment side of the bot rather than making it smart. Based on the private beta testing, the team learned that in order for a user to keep on using the application, Hugging Face must answer or respond to the user precisely.

As of the moment, instead of trying to focus on the fun part they are trying to upgrade Hugging Face and make it more accurate in replying to the users messages. It would not be easy but at least they put into consideration what the users would want Hugging Face to be. Learning from the users is what could turn Hugging Face from a great experience into a long-lasting relationship. This New York based company has only 5 employees and has already raised $1.2 million from the NBA Star Kevin Durant, Betaworks and Sv Angel.
