It’s happened to the best of us. We head out the door, double-checking our pockets to make sure we have everything we need, only to discover that we forgot our prized cell phone at home. We can’t be left incommunicative with the rest of the world, can we?

If you’re tired of forgetting your phone at home or at the office, you may want to look at this ZOMM device. It’s a keyring/keychain-like device that connects to your phone via Bluetooth, not unlike a Bluetooth headset.

When still within range of your phone, it sits happily and does nothing. However, if you happen to get outside of range of your phone, the ZOMM will start to buzz, blink, and chime. It’s annoying, but it works. It also alerts you of incoming calls.

One of the biggest downsides is the extra battery draw on your phone. Leaving the Bluetooth connection open has to drain that battery pretty quickly, but I suppose that’s better than losing your cell phone altogether.
