Earlier today we reported on the leaked HTC 8x, now comes yet another Windows Phone 8 device- this time by Nokia. Windows Phone is far from the leader of the mobile market, but WP8 has recently started to get more and more attention focused on it as of late. When it comes to WP devices, Nokia has certainly emerged as the de facto leader, pushing the WP standard to the highest level possible. The new Nokia Lumia 920 will likely not be any different. We don’t know tons about the upcoming phone yet, but we do have a little information about the hardware involved.

While Windows Phone 8 might seem a lot like WP7 at first glance, the new OS really has much more in common with Windows 8 and RT, sharing the same NT and RT cores, and ditching the CE core found in Windows Phone 7 and its predecessor, Windows Mobile.

Windows Phone 8 Dual-Core Smartphone For Sprint Being Tested?

While HTC has plans to release their newly unveiled S4 powered One S (T-Mobile) and One X (AT&T version) within the next two months, Microsoft is reportedly busy testing a Windows Phone 8 smartphone, which is intended for Sprint’s network, with the dual-core 1.5GHz Qualcomm MSM8960 chipset. The new info comes to us courtesy of the folks over at The Verge who were apparently tipped off by “sources familiar with the company’s plans”.

Windows Phone Marketing About To Get $200 Million Booster Shot

There are reports that sales guys could get as much as $10 to $15 per handset sold. The money comes from Microsoft, as well as partners like Nokia and Samsung, and it’s reportedly going to all be spent in “early 2012.” The Nokia Ace from AT&T, in particular, will be getting a “concerted advertising push.”
