What more is there to say? The White iPhone 4 is finally available from Verizon Wireless. It’s taken for what seems like an eternity to be released, with all sorts of rumored problems and hyped up anticipation. And for what? Who really cares. That is behind us now and you can now have the slightly thicker iPhone 4 in White. The price is the same, the memory size is the same, call quality we hope should be the same, and ya, the front and back is white. Finally, I can sleep again.

It lists the range of models available from Apple via AT&T and the usual suspects are in there with iPhone 3G, 3GS, and iPhone 4 varieties. You’ll also notice that the iPhone 4 is popping up in there in white, being offered in both the standard 16GB and 32GB capacity.

This screenshot mirrors the leak that we saw last week from Best Buy, so it looks like the stars are finally starting to align and they’ve overcome the weird paint issues. That’s the good news. The bad news is that while the white iPhone 4 will likely start shipping in the next couple of months, that only leaves you another couple of months until the inevitable iPhone 4S, or iPhone 5 replace it.

Or whatever Steve Jobs Tim Cook decides to call it.

It really is amazing how much attention an extra color can get. When BlackBerry decides to release a white version of one of its handsets, some people turn their heads, but it’s not such a big deal. Such is never the case with a Cupertino release and so the day you’ve been waiting for is almost here: the launch of the white iPhone 4 is imminent.

After way too much hearsay, it is now (mostly) confirmed that the white iPhone 4 will go on sale at AT&T in spring 2011. This comes by way of the in-store signage at an Apple location, right where the (current) black iPhone 4 is being showcased. You’ll notice that the placard says the iPhone 4 is offered in “black or white” and that the date for the white version is “spring 2011.”

It’s a little hard to tell, but the photo from Geek.com appears to show off a prototype version of the white iPhone 4 and it looks like it has solved the conundrum of the perfect paint color match. As you recall, Apple was having trouble getting the front, back, and button to have the same shade of white. After all, a slightly discolored iPhone button would not fly with El Jobso at all. Death grips? Those are okay.

On a side note, the Apple signage makes no mention of Verizon, though the white version of the iPhone 4 still has some potential for making its way to Big Red. Can you hear me now?

Apple iPhone 4 in White sees delay

The iPhone 4 is already hard to come by and some countries like Canada are still waiting on an official launch. If you’re willing to wait a little longer, you might be able to get your hands on what some might believe is a bit more special.

When Apple first released the black MacBook, customers had to pay a premium over the black one, but the upcoming white iPhone 4 should presumably chime in at the same price as its black counterpart. That was the case with previous iPhone devices, right? The downside is that the iPhone 4 in white isn’t quite ready for retail just yet. Aside from pre-ordered units, they are few and far between. Apple has admitted that “unexpected manufacturing challenges” have delayed the launch of the white iPhone 4. Apple expects them to be available in the second half of July.
