Apple iOS 4.3 to push personal hotspot onto all iPhones

Aside from the obvious swap to a CDMA cellular radio, one of the other major differences between the Verizon iPhone and AT&T iPhone is the inclusion of the personal hotspot functionality. Sure, you could do the jailbreak thing to do some wireless tethering on the GSM iPhone 4, but it’s so much easier when it’s already in there.

CDMA version of iPad confirmed by Verizon Wireless

And the floodgates are now open. Following up on yesterday’s announcement about a CDMA iPhone 4 making its way to Big Red, Verizon Wireless Chief Financial Officer Francis Shammo has now confirmed that a CDMA version of the prized Apple iPad will soon be joining the network too.

No death grip problem for Verizon iPhone 4

Well, that’s one way to solve antennagate: go to another carrier. As you might recall, the iPhone 4 was plagued with all sorts of “death grip” concerns when it first launched with AT&T. People said they were losing bars and dropping calls when they held the smartphone a certain way. Not so, apparently, with Verizon’s version.

HTC Thunderbolt with Verizon 4G LTE photos surface

A rose by any other name… though HTC probably doesn’t want you referring to this device as a rose. Over the course of its development life this smartphone has been called the HTC Incredible HD and the HTC Mecha. Well, it looks like Verizon and HTC have finally settled on an official name and it’s the HTC Thunderbolt. Thor would be proud.

Droid 2, Droid X Snowbot commercial from Verizon shows Android’s dark side (Video)

Coke might have its polar bears, but Verizon has a big scary robot disguised as a kindly snowman. And it’s awesome. I really like the Droid commercials from Verizon, mostly because they remind me of things like Terminator, and this one adds a little festive flair to it. Bow down to your snowbot overlords.
