Verizon launches DROID BIONIC by Motorola today

The Motorola Droid Bionic finally got an official release date a little while ago and that release date is today. Now we have to ask if the Bionic was really worth the long wait. Yes, the claim is that the Droid Bionic will “rule all machines” and it is only available at Verizon Wireless, but we also have to realize that this phone was announced way back at CES in January. That’s eight months ago and a lot has changed in those eight months.

V CAST Video becomes Verizon Video for Android devices

Verizon has decided to do a little rebranding by unleashing “Verizon Video” to the Google-fueled masses. In essence, you are able to watch a bunch of your favorite television shows on your preferred Droid device, whether that be a smartphone or a tablet. It’s not unlike V CAST Video, except that they’ve upgraded the quality of the video content and expanded the selection.

Apple iPhone 5, To Be Or Not To Be Unveiled at WWDC

Verizon Accounts for Over a Quarter of Motorola’s Total Sales

If you take a look at the smartphone lineup over at Verizon Wireless, it’s pretty clear that Motorola is pretty important to them. As it turns out, the reverse is very much true as well. According to Bloomberg, Verizon Wireless accounts for 28 percent of revenue for Motorola Mobility.
