Carphone Warehouse has just announced that they will be giving away a free Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7-inch tablet along with pre-orders for the S4. Vodafone, EE, O2 have also announced the pre-order for the S4, while US carrier AT&T revealed S4 pre-order will begin only next month.

HTC EVO 3D ships with Sprint, heading to Europe too

All it takes is a tipping point. The iPhone represented a tipping point for touchscreen smartphones for regular consumers. The iPad represented a tipping point for the popularity of tablets. And perhaps the Nintendo 3DS (despite being bad for kids) represents the tipping point for glasses-free stereoscopic 3D. Joining the fray is the HTC EVO 3D, which starting shipping with Sprint in the United States earlier this week.

Obviously we’re talking about the elderly here, they usually aren’t concerned with being able to go on Facebook, download apps and twitpic self-portraits; although we have seen our share of savvy old timers.

Vodafone UK picks up Google Nexus One superphone

The Google Nexus One has been available for some time in its unlocked form directly from Google, but it would be nice to get your hands on a healthy subsidy on the hardware price. Yes, T-Mobile USA customers have that, but what about our friends over in Europe? Vodafone wants to fix that.

That’s why Vodafone UK has just announced that it will be launching the Nexus One at the end of this month. They’re not even calling it a superphone and not a smartphone. I wouldn’t go quite as far as that, myself, but the Nexus One is certainly an attractive piece of hardware.
