[CES 2013] Vizio sure isn’t holding back at CES this year. We’ve heard about their first Windows 8 tablet, their 7-inch Tegra 3 tablet and now a 10-incher that runs on a Tegra 4 processor with Android 4.2 at launch.

The new 10-inch tablet is extremely attractive and very light in it’s design. Beyond the impressive Tegra 4 chip that powers it you also get a 10.1-inch display with a resolution of 2560×1600, 32GB of storage, Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi, as well as front and rear cameras.

Honestly, both somewhat in the looks department and spec-wise, the Vizio 10-inch tablet somewhat reminds us of the Samsung Nexus 10. With the same resolution, the bigger difference here is the Tegra 4. When it comes to high resolution graphics performance, you can probably bet that the difference between this Tegra 4-bearing tablet and the Nexus 10 are night and day.

Still, Nexus 10 is a stock Android experience, while Vizio is a vendor-bloated build– right? Wrong! Both the Windows 8, 7-inch Android and this 10-inch tablet all are touting clean, stock versions of their perspective operating systems. This means no vendor-specific bloatware should be present.

There is quite a bit to be excited about here, but unfortunately we have no clue on how much the tablet will cost or even officially when it is coming. If the Tegra 4 is capable of everything it claims it can do, you can rest assured this is going to be a tablet worth looking out for.

What do you think, interested or not?

[CES 2013] Earlier today we mentioned Vizio was introducing its first Windows 8 tablet, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t have some Android-related news for us as well.

Vizio has now announced a new 7-inch tablet featuring a Tegra 3 processor and pure Android experience without the bloat. Interestingly enough, one of the key features of the Windows 8 tablet was it was also a pure Windows 8 experience, with no vendor-specific junk thrown in.

Besides a Tegra 3 processor, we also know the new tablet will feature Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, 16GB of storage, and a 1.2MP front-facing camera. Vizio has focused on keeping their tablet small so it can be easily operated with one hand like that of the Kindle series e-readers.

There continues to be a massive push by various vendors into the 7-inch market, and many of these options are very competitively priced. As for Vizio? The tablet is expected to drop in the first half of the year, but we have no info on price tag just yet.

Looking for something with a bit more OOMPH? A Tegra 4 10-incher has also been announced by Vizio, though no specifics on price or launch date.

[CES 2013] While CES doesn’t officially begin until Tuesday, many press announcements and unveils related to the show have already begun. One of these announcements comes from Vizio, who has now announced plans for their first Windows 8 tablet.

The Vizio Tablet is an 11.6-inch slate that will pack a dual-core 1GHz AMD z60 processor, a 1080p display and 2GB of RAM. Other specs include 64GB SSD storage, 2MP front cam, micro-HDMI, and micro-USB.

One of the biggest negative to Windows hardware over the years is that many vendors choose to fill their devices up with tons of bloatware that make them slow and, well, annoying.

The good news here is that the Vizio Tablet PC has a “Microsoft Signature” software install. For those that don’t know, that means it is a clean installation with no added bloatware. This is perfect for consumers looking for a pure Windows 8 experience without vendor-specific add-ons like start menus and vendor software.

An AMD processor and 1080p display certainly sounds like a unique match. So when is it coming? Unfortunately we have no specific launch date or even pricing at this point. Would you consider an AMD-based Windows 8 tablet if the price was right?

Vizio will offer three Razor LED models with a depth of less than 1″ bringing them full swing in to the mobile LCD market.

VMB070 LCD Mobile Razor LED TV houses a 7″ LED backlit screen – 800×480 resolution, and brightness at 250 nits. It includes auxiliary audio and video inputs, and a headphone jack private listening. It has a very sleek design with dimensions of 8.2″ x 5.75″ x .75″.

VMB100 and VMB090 Mobile Razor LED LCD TVs are among the very first sets to receive broadcast signals using the new mobile ATSC-MH format, as well as ATSC and NTSC signals. Both units have a USB 2.0 port to view JPEG photos or listening to MP3 audio, and a headphone jack. VBM090 has a 9″ LED LCD panel and the VBM100 a 10.2″ LED LCD panel with resolution of 800×480 pixels and very high brightness at 350 nits. For external source components, an HDMI 1.4 jack is included, along with composite video and stereo audio inputs. Their profiles are slim, with dimensions of 11″ x 7.5″ x just under 1″ for the VMB100 and 10″ x 7″ x just under 1″ for the VMB090.

All three units are using innovative touch-sensitive controls that light up when it senses the user’s approach. The flush antenna also flips up for improved reception. Each internal battery operates for up to 3 hours, and the units have earned an Energy Star rating. All are scheduled for delivery later this year for about $149.99, $199.99, and $229.99 respectively.
