Samsung Galaxy Tab is $600 this November 11 on Verizon Wireless

amsung and Verizon are opening the doors on Galaxy Tab sales beginning this November 11th. The price is a whopping $600, that’s it, no discounts, subsidy, or anything else. My guess is the first round are in limited quantities, so they won’t have a problem selling it to early adopters who have a deep inner desire for a less than optimized Android tablet.

If you’ve been itching to get your hands on an Apple iPad but you want to latch onto the “can you hear me now” network for wireless surfing, it looks like you’re in luck. Not only is Verizon going to start selling the Apple tablet; it’s going to bundle it with some MiFi action to boot.

Analyst predicts March 2011 launch of Verizon iPhone

By now, you’ve surely heard more than your fair share of rumors surrounding the prospects of an Apple iPhone showing up among the fold at Verizon Wireless. Well, it’s time to add some more fodder to the trough, because an analyst has indicated that Big Red is “on track” to start selling the iPhone next March, a couple months past a CES unveiling predicted by WSJ.

Verizon iPhone 4 could be announced at CES 2011

If everything goes according to a WSJ report that surfaced yesterday, the Apple iPhone could be available from Verizon Wireless in early 2011. Reports indicate that Apple is making a new iPhone near the end of this year, although we’ve heard this story for the past 5 years, a Verizon iPhone is looking more clear according to new information.

HTC Suave is Verizon’s version of G2, gets Binged

Does it look familiar? It should. From what I can gather, this is going to be very similar hardware to the HTC Desire Z and the T-Mobile G2. It has the same four-row QWERTY keyboard and a very similar looking touchscreen. Dubbed the HTC Suave, this phone appears to be lacking the Quick Keys we find on its stablemates.

Samsung Fascinate (Galaxy S) headed to Verizon tomorrow

Loaded with a 1Ghz processor, Android 2.1 and skinned with TouchWiz – whether that’s a good thing or bad is up to you – Samsung is sending the Fascinate to Verizon Wireless.  The Fascinate is Verizon’s specific brand of the Galaxy S, it will sell for $200 on-contract.

34% of AT&T iPhone users are waiting to switch to Verizon

What’s going to happen when the iPhone becomes available through Verizon?  A new survey by market research firm Morpace provides a good prediction.  Morpace surveyed 1,000 consumers across all carriers and 29 percents said they were “somewhat/very likely” to purchase an iPhone with Verizon.

Verizon announces Twitter photo sharing app

Verizon Wireless announced this week a new service that will allow customers to share photos via Twitter. The software, dubbed TweetToGo created by TweetPhoto and Pelago, offers such features as Tweeting, replying, email link and direct messages. Picture features give users the ability to take, preview and send photos taken with their phones to TweetPhoto and swap them with friends.

Just about as popular as the iPhone 4G rumors, inevitably leading to the release of the iPhone 4, the Verizon iPhone reports continue; this time it’s coming from Bloomberg. On the TV show “Street Smart”, Rodman & Renshaw senior technology analyst Ashok Kumar explains how the AT&T hold on Apple’s smartphone will be ending this year, giving way for Verizon Wireless to offer the iPhone in the U.S. this January 2011.

Motorola DROID X smartphone official

The teaser trailer that we saw yesterday which some believed seemed to reveal more about the DROID X than we originally first saw. Well, some of those “leaks” were correct, and others were not. Verizon Wireless and Motorola hosted a big event earlier today to officially unveil the DROID X and it looks to be quite the hot smartphone. Instead of that “leaked” July 2 launch date, we are looking at a July 15 release for this device. They also revealed the par-for-the-course $199 price point when paired with a two-year contract and $100 mail-in rebate.

Some shots of the upcoming Motorola Droid Xtreme were released this week. The handset destined for Verizon Wireless has a massive 8 megapixel camera with HD video support and an HDMI video output port. Digital imaging tech in smartphones are really getting out of control as of late, we are expecting the next iPhone 4G to get some HD mc’lovin from Apple. If they don’t serve up some high-def goodness than they may be playing catch up to Android yet again.
