I don’t believe in hacking up co2 breathing forests for any reason, so lets hope this limited edition TouchWood Hinoki smartphone from NTT Docomo uses Japanese Cypress trees (Hinoki) from a farm or other renewable source. With that said, a natural wood back plate of the SH-08C smartphone is rather beautiful. The promo video they did for the phone is also brilliant, using tuned pieces of wood like a xylophone to play Bach’s Jesu.
