If you have nightmares about being watched, this will be your worst ever. Your mobile phone, the thing that you carry around almost everywhere, might be giving away your location to hackers. According to a new study, anyone with a cheap phone and open source software can easily track the location of a mobile phone (on GSM network, which provides service to 80 percent of the global mobile market) without the owner ever knowing about it.

Survey says Amazon Android tablet could be a threat to Apple’s iPad

I wouldn’t go quite as far as Retrovo in saying that an Android tablet from Amazon is the biggest threat to the iPad, but it goes to show you that the public would definitely be interested in one. When looking at the survey results, 55% of those who responded said that they would seriously consider buying a tablet from Amazon.

Should there be a total ban on ANY cell phone use while driving?

And now, a safety group wants to take things one step further by outright banning cell “conversations” regardless of any hands-free device used.

Interphone: Cell phones might or might not cause cancer

After one of the most expensive and extensive studies of its kind ever conducted, we are left in much the same situation as when we started. We wanted to know if the radiation emitted from cell phones can have damaging health effects. What did we learn from Interphone? Well, it seems that “no clear conclusions” were drawn from the Interphone study. Christopher Wild is the director of the International Agency for Research on Cancer, which coordinated the study, and he said that “an increased risk of brain cancer” was not established.
