Cheaper Sony PSP E-1000 to retail at under $150

We all know that the PlayStation Vita, previously known as the Next-Gen PSP (NGP), is almost ready for public consumption, but not everyone is prepared to fork out the $249 starting price for the hot new handheld. So, Sony has just announced a cheaper version called the PSP E-1000, which will retail for just under $150 US.

Whispering fairies say NTT DoCoMo is negotiating with both Nintendo and Sony, makers of the DS and PSP mobile gaming consoles, and that could only be for one very specific thing – to take mobile gaming to the next level of online multiplayer action. Sony PSP 3D could be closer than we think

Follow me on this one. When Nintendo first came forward with the Nintendo Revolution, which later became the Nintendo Wii, many people thought the motion-based controls were a fad and a gimmick. Fast forward several years and Sony is now making the Move, which is awfully Wii-like in nature.

More recently, Reggie Fils-Aime confirmed the existence of the Nintendo 3DS, pointing toward a glasses-free 3D portable gaming experience. Will Sony do the same with its PSP or PSPgo? It’s very possible, because Sony is already working with 3D video.

Kojima: Metal Gear Solid lives again on PSP with Peace Walker

Shigeru Miyamoto may have come up with an iconic Italian plumber named Mario, but Hideo Kojima is the mastermind behind a crazy kook named SNAAAAAAAAKE. Some people thought that the series was done, but not Kojima. Metal Gear Solid is coming back.

According to some tweets from Kojima himself, the studio is working on a game that could “easily have been dubbed MGS5.” They say that this is a “true” Metal Gear Solid game and it seems to be destined for the Sony PSP.
