HTC Soars to Third Place in Smartphone Market Capitalization

It’s not at all like HTC suddenly came out of left field. The Taiwanese company has been making smartphones well before anyone even knew of the HTC name, but Android has really helped to skyrocket this little engine that could to the top. In fact, it just surpassed Nokia in market capitalization.

Samsung Starts Mass Production of Transparent LCD Panels: Windows Are Billboards

A couple of months ago, I had the opportunity to check out the Samsung transparent AMOLED display at CES. That’s just a prototype, but what about stuff that will eventually make it into the hands of real customers? Well, that’s starting too, because Samsung has just started to mass produce some see-through screens.

Samsung Responds To iPad 2 With Slimmer Galaxy Tab 10.1

We’re not entirely sure if they sent the tablet over to Jenny Craig or Weightwatchers, but it looks like it worked. At last month’s MWC, Samsung was showing off one version of its 10.1-inch Galaxy Tab. At this month’s CTIA, however, they’re showing off a different version, a skinnier version.

Samsung Nexus S 4G Offers Pure Google Experience to Sprint

The official Google phone is now rocking some 4G connectivity… depending on your exact definition of what it means to have 4G. The Google Nexus S has been available since December of last year, but the American version only played friendly with T-Mobile’s bands. That’s changed, since Sprint has picked up its own version in the form of the Samsung Nexus S 4G.

Super Slim Samsung Series 9 Notebook Hits Retailers Tomorrow

We first caught a glimpse of the decidedly thin and metallic Series 9 laptop from Samsung back at the Consumer Electronics Show in January. You could say it’s meant to combat the MacBook Air in the ultra-thin arena, but the brush aluminum finish makes it stand out from the crowd. Samsung Galaxy Pro Follows Motorola Droid Pro’s Example

Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 Deemed “Inadequate” By Own VP

Samsung’s recently announced Galaxy Tab 10.1 that came out of Mobile World Congress last month is being deemed “inadequate” by their very own mobile VP Lee Don-Joo. After Don-Joo saw the iPad 2 he said “we will have to improve the parts that are inadequate.”
