Previous rumors on the web seemed to suggest that March 22nd would be the big day for a special Samsung Unpacked event, with the subject of course being the Samsung Galaxy S4. Now it seems that SamMobile has some new information, and a new date: March 15th.

According to SamMobile, the news comes from a trusted insider, though the actual location of the event is still unknown. Additionally, it seems that if everything reported is true, the Galaxy S4 will go on sale in the beginning of April.

The report from SamMobile goes on say that invitations for the event are expected right after MWC, and that the S4 will first arrive to Europe and then Asia. Australia, Africa and America wouldn’t see the phone until around May or June.

So what can we expect with the upcoming Galaxy S4? If the information coming down the pipe is all correct, the S4 will feature a 4.99-inch full HD AMOLED display and will be powered by a Exynos 5 8-core processor with 2GB of RAM. Other specs include a 13MP rear cam, 2MP front cam and Android 4.2.1 Jelly bean out of the box.

When it comes to Samsung Galaxy S III rumors, we’ve pretty much heard it all. There has been multiple different images such as a white phone with a black trim around the edges or even phones with a home button and ones without physical buttons at all. This time we have a device that looks a lot like the first leaked image we ever got our hands on and leaves us wondering if there is any legitimacy at all to the above image.

While capacitive buttons make a lot of sense over the original image’s Apple-esque physical Home Button, take a closer look at the capacitive home button in this new image. As you can see, it pretty much looks like someone just pasted over the physical home button that we’ve already seen. Does this scream fake? Personally, I think it probably does, but that’s just one man’s opinion. Alternatives could be that the render was a mistake, which seems unlikely, or that perhaps Samsung is trying something new with the design of the Samsung Galaxy S III. I suppose that’s a somewhat reasonable explanation.

No matter how many new rumors we get it seems that the puzzle pieces aren’t falling into to their places any better. We still don’t know anything solid about Samsung’s newest smartphone. Is it coming in multiple versions or just one model/look? Is it in fact getting a true unveil on May 22nd at the Samsung Unpacked event, or is it still going to get an official announcement in March, like earlier rumors indicated?

The good news is that the currently proposed specs are staying about the same from rumor to rumor. For those keeping track, it is claimed the phone will feature a 4.7-inch Super AMOLED 720 p screen, a 12MP camera with 1080p 60fps recording abilities, a Quad-core processor at 1.5GHz, 1GB of RAM, 32GB internal storage, and a 1750 mAh battery. Not to mention the device is said to be just around 8mm thick.

While the Galaxy S III is starting to sound (and look) amazing, keep in mind that it’s nothing but a rumor at this stage until we hear more solid information. So are these rumors just over-excited false hype or Samsung’s self-generated way of getting the anticipation rolling? Perhaps a mixture of both? For now I’d guess that a May 22nd unveil sounds the most reasonable. Stay tuned as we learn more.

The Apple iPhone 5 is certainly a much anticipated device, and so is the Samsung Galaxy S 3. We have already heard a lot of rumors regarding the upcoming Android handset and what you see above is thought to have come from a public relations PowerPoint file. Is that really the S3 we have been waiting for all this while? We believe it is most probably a fake.

The Apple iPhone 5 is certainly a much anticipated device, and so is the Samsung Galaxy S 3. We have already heard a lot of rumors regarding the upcoming Android handset and what you see above is thought to have come from a public relations PowerPoint file. Is that really the S3 we have been waiting for all this time? We believe it is most probably not.

The new leak suggests that Samsung is planning a Samsung Unpacked event in London on May 22nd at which the Galaxy S 3 will be introduced. There is nothing unbelievable about that since the “unpacked” events have become a tradition and also a European launch is probable as they went with that for the S2. London is a good place to introduce the handset as the Summer Olympic Games is going to happen there. But all the other details available suggest that we might be looking at the work of a good artist who loves working on fake images. As you can see above, Weber Shandwick, which is a PR agency, has their logo on the powerpoint. We’re not sure if PR companies usually do that. The other tip off, that dedicated home button is all too apple-esque.

The S3 appears to be extremely thin, measuring in at 7.89mm (possible, but still sounds fake). And it isn’t very unlikely that Samsung would design a white device with a black ring around it. The S 3 will probably come without a Home Button, similar to the Galaxy Nexus, which is a design that we also are expecting from Samsung. So the conclusion is that the new leak has come out with a lot of inconsistencies, so it is most probably a big giant fake.

But that date really sounds sweet. As for the specs, rumors so far are suggesting a 1.5GHz quad-core Samsung Exynos processor, a 4.8 inch “full HD” 1080p resolution display, 4G LTE support, Android ICS, and an 8-megapixel rear cam.

Stay tuned for updates.
