Sprint’s latest green cell phone dubbed the Samsung Restore, is now available from the US carrier. Using 77% recycled materials inside, a 27% recycled plastic outer shell, the Restore aims to minimize our footprint on the environment so long as we don’t throw out our old phones to get this one. The inexpensive handset with a slider QWERTY keyboard, fashionably colored green or midnight blue, meets the Sprint Device Eco Critera.
Just because you want to have the latest in gadgetry doesn’t mean that Mother Nature has to take a backseat. Sprint and Samsung are both dedicated to green leadership. In celebration of Earth Day, the two firms are announcing the Samsung Restore cell phone.
This is the second “green” device resulting in this environmentally-friendly partnership. Available this summer for $49.99 with a two-year contract and $50 mail-in rebate, the Samsung Restore follows up on the Samsung Reclaim, a device made from 80 percent recyclable materials.
