Although Apple is the biggest American phone company, that doesn’t automatically give them the seat for the most US smartphones sold. RIM has the number one place, followed by Google’s Android, and iPhone coming in third. Even though it may feel like Apple is taking the mobile world by storm, the Cupertino-based company doesn’t even crack the top five when it comes to global sales. A Canadian company, however, has cracked the top five, and that’s none other than Research in Motion.
