You don’t have to wait until Black Friday to get the best deal on a new smartphone. In fact, you can get the DROID RAZR MAXX 4G for just $50, which is a significant savings from the regular price of $749.00.

Not surprisingly, the RAZR MAXX 4G can only be had for the $49.99 asking price if you sign up for a qualifying two-year service agreement with Verizon Wireless. As far as specs, you get a 4.3-inch AMOLED display, 4G LTE capabilities, dual core 1.2GHz processor, and a massive 3300mAh battery that they say will provide up to 21 hours of talk time and up to 380 hours of standby.

Other key features include the 8MP camera with 1080p video, Bluetooth stereo music, 16GB storage, microSD expansion slot, front-facing camera, GPS, and MOTOPRINT for wireless printing to any postscript printer via Wi-Fi. And yes, it’s compatible with the Lapdock 100 for a 10.1-inch netbook-esque experience too, but that’s an optional additional purchase.

You can get the Motorola DROID RAZR MAXX 4G on Amazon for $49.99. If you want to go a little bigger, they also have the Motorola DROID RAZR MAXX HD for $199.99 on contract, giving you a 4.7-inch 720p display and Android 4.0 ICS.

The Droid RAZR HD and Maxx HD are finally on their way to Verizon. The new devices are expected to arrive on the 18th of October. The Razr HD and Maxx HD both have crazy long battery operation, with the Maxx model promising 32 hours of normal use.

The sizes of the phones are quite similar, the only real spec differences being 32GB of storage and a bigger battery in the Maxx. Both the HD and Maxx have a 1.5GHz dual-core processor with 1GB of RAM, an 8MP camera, NFC and 4G LTE, and a 4.7-inch 720p display.

How much will they set you back? $199 for the Razr HD and $299 for the Razr HD Maxx. If you are into phones that have long battery life and like larger screen sizes, there is tons to be excited about for the new flagship Droid RAZR line.
Looking for something a bit smaller that also performs quite well? The 4.3-inch Motorola Droid RAZR M recently came to Verizon and is also certainly worth your time and consideration.

Motorola might not be the ‘leading brand’ in the smartphone world, but the new Droid RAZR line shows they certainly can compete with stylish and capable devices. What do you think? Excited by any of the recent Motorola offerings or not?

From the 2012 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES), Verizon Wireless along with Motorola have announced many new additions to the Droid Razor Family. One of the new members added to this family is called RAZR MAXX.

The android powered device is 8.99mm, slightly on the thicker side when compared to the Droid RAZR which is just 7.1mm, but don’t let that discourage you the RAZR MAXX is not over weight by any means.

The device is designed for customers who spend long hours multi-tasking and promises a whooping 21 hours of life straight on a single charge. Motorola claims that is the longest-lasting SmartPhone on the block, but we are unsure as to what the battery life is being claimed for. Are we talking about 21hrs of gameplay? or 21hrs of video streaming?

There is certainly a difference between 21 hours of intense use on one charge and 21 hours if you don’t do anything except keep it on. Most likely it is 21 hours with light use, if we had to take a guess.

The Droid RAZR MAXX comes packing 32Gb of total memory. To get your hands on this one, you will have to shell out $299.99 with a 2-year agreement.
