We thought that saving fifty bucks was already pretty good, but it looks like the Motorola Atrix 4G is already receiving yet another price cut from yet another retailer. If you want the absolute best deal on the hot new Android phone, it looks like you want to turn to Walmart.

Instead of paying the full $199.99 contract price via AT&T, you can mosey on over to the monstrosity of a megastore to find the exact same phoen for $129.99. If you can’t figure it out from some quick math, that’s a cool $70, giving you plenty of extra coin to splurge on the overpriced laptop dock or multimedia dock.

The down side in this? Oddly enough, Walmart is not going to carry the Laptop Dock accessory nor is it to going to sell the Multimedia dock, at least for now. So, while you can score a pretty great deal on a hot and powerful Android phone from Moto through them, you’ll need to drive to the other mall to get your accessories on… but at least you’ll have an extra seventy bucks to make that drive.

Let’s just hope that the Atrix 4G is really 4G, unlike h

Well, that didn’t take very long at all. The Motorola Atrix 4G hasn’t even officially hit store shelves yet and it has already experienced a 25% price cut. Granted, the price cut isn’t an official one being offered through AT&T and Motorola, but it’s the next best thing.

Instead of paying the full $200 asking price through Big Blue directly, you can mosey on over to Radio Shack to get it for $149.99 on the same two-year contract. It’s not like you have to wait any longer either, since the Shack is going to start selling the Android device on the same February 22 launch day as AT&T corporate stores.

But wait. There’s more. You know that Atrix 4G laptop dock that really makes it an entirely different beast than other Android smartphones like it? Radio Shack is discounting that too. Snatch it up on a contract bundled with the phone and they’ll let it go for $329.99. That’s twenty bucks less than AT&T, bringing your total bill up to $479.98 before taxes.

One of the biggest drawbacks to the iPhone - as any good smartphone these days - is having to shell out some serious coin to get one: and you're not even done there, next you have to sign a contract just to use it. If you want an unlocked version you sometimes have to resort to shady means to finding a modified device, then pay an arm and a leg more without any sort of restitution. Starting today however, iPhones are available at Radio Shack for an insignificantly reduced price.

The real reason for this price drop, which probably negates any profit Radio Shack could have made on the iPhone, is to attract attention to their trade in program. Basically they want your used phones, but your iPhone more specifically.

The post iPhones get large trade-in value at Radio Shack appeared first on Mobile Magazine.

One of the biggest drawbacks to the iPhone – as any good smartphone these days – is having to shell out some serious coin to get one: and you’re not even done there, next you have to sign a contract just to use it. If you want an unlocked version you sometimes have to resort to shady means to finding a modified device, then pay an arm and a leg more without any sort of restitution. Starting today however, iPhones are available at Radio Shack for an insignificantly reduced price.

According to AppleInsider, Radio Shack has iPhones for $5 less at $95 for an 8GB 3G, $195 for a 16GB 3GS, and $295 for a 32GB 3GS. Five bucks is five bucks, less than the standard suggested retail price, but still nothing significant by any means.

The real reason for this price drop, which probably negates any profit Radio Shack could have made on the iPhone, is to attract attention to their trade in program. Basically they want your used phones, but your iPhone more specifically. Radio Shack will shell out as much as $314.29 for an iPhone 3G S 32GB ($15 more than you paid on a 2-year plan) and as much as $150.40 for an iPhone 3G 8GB ($50 more than on a 2-year plan). Could be a good deal to get you in on a newer model phone, but most people are quite satisfied with their Apple’s, and without an iPhone 4g with improved battery life, bigger screen, and all that jazz, what would you upgrade to?
