UK customers are lucky that the hotly anticipated Samsung Galaxy S4 is available for pre-order from Vodafone, EE and O2, and the luckiest 2000 of them will get to play with a free 7 inch Galaxy Tab 2 also, as we reported earlier. For those of you anxious folks in the US, AT&T has announced that the S4 will be available for pre-order starting April 16 priced at $249.99 with a two-year contract.

The carrier hasn’t announced which model they are offering (maybe the 32GB S4), and no hints on exactly when the device will be shipped. If it’s the 16GB model, the announced price is $50 higher than what the iPhone 5 is currently available for. Head to the AT&T website for signing up to be notified when the S4 will be available.

As for other US carriers, T-Mobile will start offering the S4 on May 1st (no contract of course), and it is also expected to be available from Verizon, Sprint, as well as MetroPCS, U.S. Cellular and Cricket.

Just to remind you, the S4 is coming with a 5-inch 1920×1080 Super AMOLED screen, a 1.9GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor in the US (1.8GHz Exnyos 5 Octa everywhere else), Android 4.2.2. Jelly Bean, and an amazing 13-megapixel shooter.

Do you have plans to order the S4?

Everybody is excited about the arrival of Samsung’s latest and greatest smartphone, the Galaxy S4, and the thrill increases when an online retailer comes out with an awesome offer. Carphone Warehouse has just announced that they will be giving away a free Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7-inch tablet along with pre-orders for the S4.

In order to get in on the deal, you must act fast since the offer will only available to the first 2000 people who order the S4 on a pay monthly order. At the time of writing this the deal is still there, but it probably won’t last long as a free dual-core Jelly Bean powered tablet with the S4 is a great deal and to make things sweeter they have also added an accessory pack with a screen protector, case and car charger into the offer. Carphone Warehouse will ship the device on April 26th.

So, all of you folks over at UK, are you going to order the device from Carphone Warehouse? Or are you going with Vodafone or EE or O2?

As for those of you in the US, AT&T announced that the S4 will be available for pre-order on April 16 for $249.99 with a two-year contract. Interested? Or are you thinking about Sprint or MetroPCS?

The long awaited Asus built audio dock for the Google Nexus 7 is still being elusive. While already released and flying off the shelves in Asia, the dock has not yet been added to the ASUS America site yet and has been given no availability date, until now.

The site B&H Photo shows the audio dock at a pre-order price of only $39.99 and comes with a 3.5mm earphone jack and a micro USB port. The website also suggests an expected arrival date of December 30th.

This obviously won’t be a good holiday gift idea because, well, it will be nearly a week late. But you can order it as a new year’s gift for yourself, if you need an excuse to splurge on some needed Nexus 7 accessories.

Have you pre-ordered yours yet?

Do you want to get your hands on the new Google Nexus 7 tablet? Do you have some old tablets and other mobile devices kicking around the house that you don’t want anymore? GameStop wants to help you, letting you trade in your old junk as you place your pre-order for a new Nexus 7 tablet.

Pre-orders are currently being taken by GameStop for the 16GB version, which retails for $249 and will be available around the middle of July. While there is the cheaper 8GB model at $199, it doesn’t look like GameStop is going to take pre-orders for it. Thankfully, you can make up some of that value by trading in your old video games, gaming hardware, accessories, iDevices and eligible Android tablets.

GameStop has been accepting trade-ins for a while, but they’re offering a 30% bonus on the trade-in value when you put it toward the purchase of a 16GB Nexus 7. Remember that, for a limited time, you also get the $25 credit for the Google Play Store, plus a free copy of Transformers: Dark of the Moon.

“We’ve seen great consumer enthusiasm for our recommerce initiatives, particularly our iDevice trade program that launched last fall,” said Tony Bartel, president of GameStop. “With the increasing popularity of Android tablets and the emerging multiscreen gaming trend, this is the ideal time to expand the program to meet the needs of our hybrid customers.”

Maybe you’re not a fan of all these 10-inch tablets, but you’d like to get into the Honeycomb experience. If that’s the case, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus might be your cup of tea and it is now available for pre-order. That’s the good news.

However, it does come with a caveat. While the pre-orders are being accepted at online retailer J&R, there is no indication as to when the Android 3.2 Honeycomb tablet will actually start shipping out to customers. That said, they have priced the 16GB and 32GB models at $399.99 and $499.99, respectively, which is in line with their 10-inch cousins. Is that really the right move?

In case you missed the initial announcements, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus comes equipped with a 7.0-inch 1024×600 WSVGA touchscreen display, dual core 1.2GHz processor, 3MP rear camera, 2MP front camera, microSD slot, and a pre-installed Netflix app for video watching on the go. It is a WiFi-only device.

A regular old digital picture frame isn’t exactly the most exciting thing in the world, but it suddenly gets a lot more interesting when you toss in a few more features and functions. In effect, that’s the appeal of the widget-happy display from Chumby Industries and they’re almost ready to let you buy it.

The Chumby8, as its name implies, features an eight-inch display with a resolution of 800×600 pixels. It’s much more than a picture frame, of course, as it’s meant to be the “world’s first stand-alone app player.” You could say it’s almost like a tablet device, except it’s not really a tablet at all. It does come with a touchscreen and over 1,500 free apps and runs on Android 2.2 though.

In case you missed it during CES, the Chumby8 also comes with a new web browser, two USB ports, CF/SD slots, Internet radio (with Pandora, Napster, NYT, etc.), and task scheduler. A Flash Lite 4 update is coming soon with AS3 support too.

As our homes become increasingly connected, more web-enabled devices like the Chumby8 will surely rise to the surface. Get ready to get your Chumby on starting April 5th for $199. Pre-orders are being taken now… or you could spend some more and get a tablet instead.

Best Buy is getting in on the iPhone 4 groove by announcing their pre-sale which begins tomorrow. That’s June 15th, which so happens to be the same day you can pre-order from Apple. iPhone 4 deliveries are set for June 24th. These dates are the same that Apple announced, so no big surprise here. Best Buy is eager to remind everyone in case they some how forgot in that time gap between reading about the iPhone 4′s features, watching hands-on iPhone 4 videos, voting for the iPhone 4 as the best thing ever, and having iPhone 4 dreams at night.

Here’ s a snippet from their press release to show just how excited they are: “Offering the iPhone 4 to consumers is just the latest example of how Best Buy Mobile has become the place to go for the best smartphones. It’s exciting to have an opportunity to launch this iconic device with this pre-sale,” said Shawn Score, president of Best Buy Mobile. “Adding the iPhone 4 to our stores alongside other great smartphones like the HTC EVO from Sprint and HTC Incredible on Verizon, gives customers a great opportunity to view each side-by-side and get the mobile phone that works best for them.”
