Nexus 4 Production Stopped, LG Preparing New Device?

Despite experiencing constant shortages of the Nexus 4, it is being reported that LG is stopping production of the Nexus 4. Sales for the most recent Nexus smartphone were not reported to be through the roof, however, there was enough demand over the past few months to put LG and Google on the hot seat. If the Nexus 4 was doing so well, why would LG be halting production?

Decoding Serial Numbers Reveals 370,000 Nexus 4 Smartphones Sold

Google and LG haven’t been particularly forthcoming when it comes to the sales figures for the Nexus 4 smartphone, but a little snooping around seems to reveal that somewhere in the neighborhood of 400k units have been shipped and sold. I’m sure that if they increased production, that number could be much larger given the current demand.

LG Nexus 4 Users Report Buzzing Noise and Distorted Calls

While the LG Nexus 4 has sold extremely well and received a ton of positive feedback, it seems that it isn’t without a few problems as well. New reports are starting to arise regarding Issue 39936 on Google’s website, which pertains to listening to an earpiece on the Nexus 4. More specifically, so far 135 users claim that while using an earpiece, there is a very faint buzzing and clicking.

Android 4.2 Jelly Bean has started to arrive, bringing several new improvements to the table. Unfortunately, any new changes to an OS are bound to be met with a few problems along the way, and Android 4.2 is no exception. It seems that Google Voice is reportedly crashing quite regularly thanks to Android 4.2.
