Multitouch screens coming to the iMac?

Apple has confirmed an agreement to fund strategic pre-payments worth $3.9 billion over two years to an unnamed technology during its Q1 results call yesterday. Apple Magic Trackpad for the desktop is real

Apple’s Magic Trackpad seems to be a real product. It’s about as simple as ripping one out of a MacBook or MacBook Pro, giving it a battery holder, some Bluetooth love, and now it’s magically for the desktop. I would probably go for this in a heartbeat, as I’m pretty fed up with swapping batteries on the wireless “Magic Mouse” that magically drains a brand new set of AAs in 3-4 weeks, or AA NiMHs in 2-3 weeks.

Pioneer has just revealed a new professoinal DJ mixer, the DJM-2000. This is the first audio mixer to integrate a multi-touch panel, and Pioneer has done it with a 5.8-inch display.

The unit is small enough to bring with you on the road, but slightly larger than its predecessors. Its designed to match up with Pioneer’s CDJ-2000 digital media players allowing you to mix tracks with anything from CDs to USB drives.
