Samsung is famous for releasing all sorts of hardware configurations to fit the needs of just about anybody out there. To make matters worse for their competitors, the company is said to be planning to release different variants of their latest and greatest smartphone, the Galaxy S4. We have told you about the rugged S4 and about the S4 Zoom, but the most talked about handset is the S4 Mini.

The device that you see above and in the gallery below could be the S4 Mini, and it looks similar to the S4 but with a smaller display. No other details are available, and we can’t really say whether this is the real one.

As for what we know, the S4 Mini should be cheaper and less powerful when compared to the S4. The rumored specs include a 4.3 inch Super AMOLED qHD display, 1GB RAM, a 1.6GHz dual-core processor, a 5MP camera, Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, and many of the features coming with the S4.

The device is expected by many to hit the market by the end of this month.

More details are coming together about the anticipated release of the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini. We have learned from information discovered by a User Agent profile that the S4 Mini will be given the model number GT-i9190. This also helps back up the previous rumors the phone will have a 4.3 inch screen with a 860×540 pixel resolution.

Unfortunately, there is still quite a bit we don’t know about the S4 Mini, though previous rumors help us fill in the blanks. If the rumor mill is to be believed, the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini will feature a dual-core processor with 1GB of RAM, an 8 megapixel camera, and either a 8GB, 16GB, 32GB variant. It will likely run Android 4.2.2 OS with the standard Samsung features that have already been introduced with the Galaxy S4.

So when is it coming? We still can’t say for sure, though Samsung will probably release it not too terribly long after the Galaxy S4′s launch in order to best capitalize on the hype. Would you consider a Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini or would you rather stick to the more powerful Galaxy S4?

After tons of rumors about an iPad 3, what we really got, as you know, was the new iPad. So then will the iPad 3 still arrive sometime in the future? Is it in the works at the moment in a super secret Apple lab? Well, it appears like a new tablet, a smaller iPad, is indeed being tested by the company and it might get released later this year (maybe as the iPad 3 or iPad mini).

That’s according to Apple pundit John Gruber who was talking on The Talk Show, a podcast with 5by5′s Dan Benjamin. Gruber revealed that Apple is currently thinking about a smaller version of its iPad and has a 7.85-inch 1024×768 resolution iPad in their lab. According to him, the prototype device is “just like the 9.7-inch iPad shrunk down a little bit” and “the apps wouldn’t need to be redesigned or recompiled to work on it”.

Gruber says that he “wouldn’t be surprised if it never ships”, but suggests that Apple might introduce a smaller iPad at the Worldwide Developers Conference, since the arrival of a new iPhone is very unlikely. That device could compete against Amazon’s Kindle Fire and Barnes & Noble’s Nook Tablet. But there’s also a possibility that they might simply be testing new designs, and the said device may never see the light of day.

Yet, the thought about another new iPad for this year will make all the iFans excited. But, of course, even if such a device is being perfected for future release, we can’t say for sure what it will be named. iPad 3? iPad Mini? Newer iPad? Or maybe ePad?

We’ve seen Mini expand its lineup of cars quite substantially in recent years, adding doors and stretching the chassis. This isn’t going to be a production vehicle, but the Mini “Red Mudder” is being offered for sale through a charity function.

As you can quite plainly see, the Red Mudder is a fair bit more rugged than its more conventional counterparts. That was the vision by designers Dean and Dan Caten, who go by DSquared. And yes, the car bears their name as well as the maple leaf on both doors.

The Red Mudder take on the Mini Cooper S is being sold through the Life Ball annual charity event, raising money for those affected by HIV/AIDS. Last year, a Mini designed by Francisco Costa of Calkin Klein sold for $61,000. This mudder just might sell for more.

Unfortunately, it has nothing to do with the classic Seinfeld clip where Kramer learns that not only was his father a mudder, but his mother was a mudder too.
