Less than a year ago, Leap Motion came out and turned heads with the Leap, their amazing gesture recognizing tech. We have good news for those of you who were impressed by the tiny device and pre-ordered it. The device starts shipping on the 13th of May.

There’s nothing to worry in case you couldn’t make up your mind and missed ordering the device as it will be available at Best Buy on May 19th with a price tag of $80. The company is also opening Airspace, the system’s exclusive app store, sometime in May.

Just in case you are new to the Leap, you connect it to your computer via USB and it creates a virtual workspace within which it tracks all ten of your fingers at the same time. It is accurate enough to let you use your gestures to pinch-to-zoom or even manipulate 3D-rendered objects. Sometime in the future, the device might even end up inside laptops, smartphones and tablets.

So, are you interested in the new device? Or is that price tag a tad more than what you expected?

The hotly anticipated Samsung Galaxy S3 will be launched officially on the 3rd of May, but nobody knows what the device looks like or what it has under the hood, although we do know that it will be a quad core phone. Some people have managed to get their hands on an unannounced Android phones before, sometimes they are kind enough to show it to us. What you see in the photos comes to us courtesy of the folks at Gizmodo Brazil who claim the handset could possibly be the S3.

From the looks of things, Samsung has decided just an incremental update and not a major overhaul. The device is said to be thinner, but heavier, and it is coming equipped with a 12 megapixel camera, which is good news for the shutterbugs.

According to Gizmodo Brazil, the device’s serial number is Samsung GT-I9300, which suggests that the device could be the recently leaked Galaxy M, a mid-range handset. But their source believes that it is the high-end S3 “because of the speed and screen”.

We surely won’t have to wait too long to know about what the device looks like and what it packs. But make sure that you stay tuned to this space for updates.

The Galaxy S 3 is expected to be Samsung’s answer to the Apple iPhone 4S and most likely will also compete against the rumored iPhone 5. We have already seen a lot of rumors regarding the release date of the much anticipated Android device, and today we have got yet another hint, which suggests that the device might indeed be unveiled next month as previously rumored.

As you may remember, we reported earlier about a leak which hinted a May 22nd London launch for the S 3. Today’s info is suggesting the same. The invitation to a launch event you see above, which shows the half of a new device, was circulated by a Korean website and the words on it are more than enough to get all Android fans excited.

We are not sure whether this is the real deal, but looking at the image, we can see that the render is not exaggerated like some previous renders. Not too much about the handset is shown, possibly to let everyone imagine about what the handset will look like and get excited, if the render is real that is.

This is what Eldar Murtazin has to say on the matter (via Twitter): “My comment about this sgs3 pic….hmmm no comments :-) what do u think? Real or fake?”.

That combination of “no comments” with a smiley face might be his way of confirming things.

There are no hints about the specs of the handset, but we do know that it will have a quad-core processor. Previous rumors have suggested that the S3 will come with ICS, a 4.7-inch Super AMOLED Plus HD display, 2GB of RAM, and a 2250mAh battery.

The Apple iPhone 5 is certainly a much anticipated device, and so is the Samsung Galaxy S 3. We have already heard a lot of rumors regarding the upcoming Android handset and what you see above is thought to have come from a public relations PowerPoint file. Is that really the S3 we have been waiting for all this time? We believe it is most probably not.

The new leak suggests that Samsung is planning a Samsung Unpacked event in London on May 22nd at which the Galaxy S 3 will be introduced. There is nothing unbelievable about that since the “unpacked” events have become a tradition and also a European launch is probable as they went with that for the S2. London is a good place to introduce the handset as the Summer Olympic Games is going to happen there. But all the other details available suggest that we might be looking at the work of a good artist who loves working on fake images. As you can see above, Weber Shandwick, which is a PR agency, has their logo on the powerpoint. We’re not sure if PR companies usually do that. The other tip off, that dedicated home button is all too apple-esque.

The S3 appears to be extremely thin, measuring in at 7.89mm (possible, but still sounds fake). And it isn’t very unlikely that Samsung would design a white device with a black ring around it. The S 3 will probably come without a Home Button, similar to the Galaxy Nexus, which is a design that we also are expecting from Samsung. So the conclusion is that the new leak has come out with a lot of inconsistencies, so it is most probably a big giant fake.

But that date really sounds sweet. As for the specs, rumors so far are suggesting a 1.5GHz quad-core Samsung Exynos processor, a 4.8 inch “full HD” 1080p resolution display, 4G LTE support, Android ICS, and an 8-megapixel rear cam.

Stay tuned for updates.

It appears like Microsoft is slowly losing their love for their Windows Mobile OS as the company is fully concentrating on the Windows Phone platform. What you see above is the full email that is being circulated to WinMo users which details about the company’s decision to officially shut down Windows Marketplace for Mobile 6.x.

According to the email, Microsoft will bring the curtains down on the Windows Mobile 6.x Marketplace on May 9, 2012. From that day onwards, customers using handsets running on the older platform as well as the developers will not be able to access the store. (In case anyone is having a doubt, the Windows Phone Marketplace will still be there.)

All the apps that are already downloaded will continue to work, although updates will not be available. Therefore Microsoft recommends WinMo users to install available updates before the service goes dark. But new applications might still be available directly from developers.

As you might know, the talks about shutting down the Windows Mobile Marketplace began last year. And the company started giving out hints regarding the matter earlier than the arrival of the email. They have stopped accepting new submissions of applications. The news about the shutdown is certainly not a surprise and most probably won’t hurt anyone, but it is a fact that Windows Mobile played a big role in the evolution of the mobile OS.

Microsoft might be hoping for the best by focussing their whole effort on making Windows Phone a success on the market currently ruled by Google’s Android and Apple’s iOS. So far, the company’s OS has failed to become popular despite good hardware from Nokia and other partners. Let’s wait and see what the future holds for them.
