HTC <del>M7</del> One news is about as easy to find on the web as angry teenagers are in the comments section of YouTube videos. So what do we have for you this time around? Well according to @evleaks, this is a rendering of the HTC One which will be used as a press release image.

@Evleaks has been a great resource of HTC One (M7) news over the past few weeks, and it appears whoever the tipster is has close ties to the flagship HTC project.

Back to the rendering, we can see that the design looks very similar to the current iPhone and the recently launched Blackberry Z10. The phone also appears to have a rather large from camera sensor and looks to be running Sense 5 which is rumored to appear on the phone.

With less than a week from us actually seeing the real HTC One, do you guy’s think that this rendering is the real deal? Are you excited for the HTC One?

Those of us following the news of the new flagship HTC have referred to the 4.7-inch phone by its internal codename, and we have gotten quite use to the HTC M7 name, so to hear that it will finally be called the “One” is a little bit of a disappointment. From a marketing point of view the name seems odd further still as many less savvy phone buyers will likely mistake the HTC One as an inferior phone to say the HTC One X and One X+, which are in fact older phones.

We will have to wait unit Feb 19th HTC press event to see if the rumours are true. In the meantime what do you guys think of the new name? Do you think that they should have simply went with the HTC M7 codename as the final name or not?

According to sources over at Unwiredview.com, the purported rendering was taken from an instructional video showing new customers how to install a SIM card. From the image we can see that the, unbranded phone, appears to boast a full-width 4.7-inch 1080 display, a long what appear to be a much improved front camera sensor and possible front stereo speakers.

Keep in mind this is an early rendering and the design is subject to tweaking and finalizing between now its official unveil. Based on the little we know right now, what do you think?
