Now that the iPad Mini has made it’s way into the hands of consumers, Logitech is making an addition to their list of accessories. The Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard Cover for iPad was introduced last summer for £89.99. Now, Logitech has announced the Ultrathin Keyboard Cover for the iPad Mini.

Built from aluminum, this case has a design and style similar to that of Apple’s signature. On the inside, this 7-inch case transforms into a mini keyboard with full-size keys. More specifically, this Bluetooth® EasyType keyboard will work up to 10 meters away and carries a battery life of up to 3 months (battery based on 2 hours a day usage).

Similar to Apple’s Smart Cover, Logitech’s “Award-Winning” case has a built-in on/off feature that wakes up your iPad when you open the cover and switches to standby when you close it. All in all, coming in at just 7-inches, this case is going to be one of the best you can get your hands on. On the other hand, a suggested retail price of $79.99 may be hard for you and your wallet to handle.

Do you like having a real keyboard on hand with your mobile device(s)? Or do you prefer to use the regular on screen keyboard? Let us know in the comments below.

Looking to turn your iPad into a handy netbook? Logitech has you covered with its new ultrathin keyboard case that it announced earlier today. The new case is designed for both the iPad 2 and new iPad, giving you a thin screen protector that also has a built-in keyboard. Similarly to Apple's Smart Cover case, the Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard Cover uses a magnetic clip to secure its iPad. According to Logitech, there is no reason to worry about battery life on the keyboard because if you were to use it for about 2 hours a day it would still have enough juice to keep it running for about six months. Not half bad at all, I'd say.

Honestly, it’s only a matter of time before tablets with integrated keyboards start taking over the netbook market, at least in my opinion. Most of these thin-style keyboards aren’t quite as comfortable as a netbook keyboard, but they aren’t all that different.

The Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard Cover is now available to purchase for around $100, in the U.S. and Europe.

When we talk about universal remote controls, one of the most popular brands that comes to mind is Logitech.

The Harmony Link needs a Wi-Fi network and a free link app for Logitech Harmony before you can actually use it. Good news: if you installed the Harmony Link on an iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad or other Android-based gadgets, you will be able to use the item as a remote control for up to eight home-entertainment appliances. You can save some amount because of this item!

Logitech reveals several ways to transform your smartphone into a universal remote control like the VooMote One IR Sleeve or the L5 Remote IR Dongle. According to the company, you need to utilize the Wi-Fi network at home and that you must always turn on your smartphone’s Wi-Fi to be able to use it.

The harmony Link App possesses an activity-based interface that can be used by tapping or swiping in order to control the television even without looking at the remote. The app for iPad provides the user with personalized TV listings from Rovi and also program guides to make browsing easier. An IR mini-blaster accessory is also included in the Harmony Link to let users manipulate devices which are inside enclosed cabinets.

This new addition to the Logitech line of accessories can work with Android 2.x Wi-Fi eabled or iOS 4.0-based gadgets. You can now place your orders for the device which is pegged at US $99.99 and will be rolled out in October.

The Apple iPad may seem more like a fun device to play games on, watch movies, read magazines and other stuff like that, but it can actually be quite useful for business folks too. Even so, typing on that touchscreen for extended periods of time might just not be good enough. And so, Logitech has come up with a Fold-Up Keyboard that works in tandem with Apple’s tablet.

The core functionality is really no different than any other Bluetooth keyboard. You pair it up with the iPad and start typing away at those documents and e-mails. What makes this product different is its fold-up nature. It folds up and hides behind the tablet when not in use, automatically shutting itself off. Fold it back out and it’s ready for you to type away again. It’s meant to be convenient and compact. The keyboard itself charges over USB and still uses Bluetooth to communicate with the iPad 2.

The split design is pretty interesting and it even comes with a stand in the back to prop up the iPad. That gives you an “ideal angle for typing and taking notes,” not unlike what you’d get with a netbook or notebook… or even something like the Asus Eee Pad Transformer. And just like the Eee Pad, this keyboard dock is priced quite similarly at $129.99.

No matter how much we enjoy our tablets touchscreen interface, there are times when tapping with a finger just doesn’t cut it. That’s why Logitech has now launched the “first wireless mouse for Android tablets.” It’s not for iPad though, since iPad has the Apple Wireless keyboard already, this mouse is especially designed for Android. The Tablet Mouse for Android 3.1. is a wireless optical mouse that connects via Bluetooth. Sadly it doesn’t use any tablet specific functions, even though it’s the first mouse designed for Android tablets supporting Android 3.1. (Honeycomb) or later. The mouse is priced at $49.99 and it is powered by AA batteries.

Alongside the release of the Android Mouse is Logitech’s keyboard for Android 3.0.+, connects via uses Bluetooth and runs off four AAA batteries for a cost of $54.99. It also comes with a case that can be used as a tablet stand too.

I don’t know, since you’ll be tethered to your computer. If Logitech embedded support for microSD it would have been useful, but its awfully late at this stage of the game with nearly everything shipping with HD this and HD that. The computers this will support may not even be able to playback a smooth HD feed anyway. The cam will work on a 1 GHz machine with 512 mb ram, however to use the HD 720p calling and 1080p video recording you’ll need at least 2.4 Ghz Core 2 Duo and 2GB ram. So who is buying this thing?

In all fairness, it does have “Fluid Crystal” technology, which Logitech touts as being the all new Smoother, Sharper, Richer, Clearer technology for web cams. But doesn’t actually say why or how. One of those you gotta see it to believe its?

With integrated autofocus, an 8 M P sensor that can capture image stills, the Logitech HD Webcam C615 will arrive in September for a price of 80 Euros ($115 USD) .

Most often than not, a laptop ends up resting on your lap. Many laptops become too hot to handle, some researchers are even saying it can reduce the sperm count in men. You could simply use a pillow to support your laptop and create a barrier of separation between the heated computer and the family jewels, or you can buy the Logitech Lapdesk N600.

Taking the laptop cooling pad to another level, the N600 integrates a 5-inch retractable touchpad off to the side. The touchpad is multi-touch and supports gestures. For example, a finger is used for pointing, two for scrolling and three fingers for browsing through pages. The Lapdesk N600 connects to your laptop via a wireless USB adapter. It will sell for around $70, pre-orders are being taken now.

A wireless headset from Logitech has been announced today, the H760 is $99.99 and has a built-in equalizer for optimizing sound just the way you like it. I’m a little disappointed that it’s not Bluetooth and uses a 2.4 GHz RF dongle to transmit back and forth to your computer, you are still getting 48 kHz audio and 40 feet range, but I like to complain.

The post Logitech H760 wireless headset has built-in EQ appeared first on Mobile Magazine.

The headband adjusts, the boom rotates, and the headset will run for about 6 hours off the battery. It can recharge over USB in less than 2.5 hours, or keep it connected while using it and it will take a bit longer.
You can pre-order the Logitech H760 wireless headset now, shipping is expected to commence this month in US, Europe in September.

Even though I have a notebook as my primary computer, I still have it set up like a desktop when I’m working from home. I have it connected to an external LCD monitor and I make use of a wireless mouse and keyboard. This means I have to deal with batteries. With the newly announced Logitech Wireless Desktop MK710, that concern won’t come up nearly as often.

For many wireless combos, you’ll find yourself reaching for another set of batteries on a fairly regular basis. The Logitech MK710, on the other hand, touted as the “first keyboard-and-mouse combination to feature up to three years of battery life.” Three years!

Both the keyboard and the mouse connect back to your computer via the Logitech Unifying receiver, which operates over the typical 2.4GHz wireless frequency. This receiver is small enough to stay in your laptop all the time. You’ll also notice that the keyboard and mouse hop out of active mode more quickly when left idle compared to some other wireless desktops.

The Logitech Wireless Desktop MK710 will be priced at $99.99 when it launches in Europe this month. The American release follows shortly thereafter in April.
