LG Optimus Black is slimmer than all: even iPhone 4

lg-optimus-black-01-05-2011 (1)

The technology pendulum never stops swinging. There was a time when the race was on to make the smallest phones possible and then manufacturers went off Atkins and they all blew up into today’s smartphones. LG is swinging back the other way with their latest and thinnest: the Optimus Black.

LG robotic HOM-BOT vacuum Roomba clone is smarter than it looks

lg-robot-vacuum-1

When the original Roomba from iRobot first hit the scene it was revolutionary: a vacuum that roamed (and cleaned) your room on its own. iRobot has quite the track record making military robots, so why not infiltrate the home front? LG also has quite the experience with military production, so it comes as no surprise that LG’s new HOM-BOT does what an iRobot does, but smarter.

Leaked LG B smartphone has bigger IPS screen than iPhone 4

lg-b (1)

When it comes to display technology, IPS (in-plane switching) is just about the cream of the crop. That’s why it’s the kind of tech that goes into the Retina Display on the iPhone 4. However, if you think that the screen quality on Apple’s device is impressive, wait until you check out the LG “B” smartphone by comparison.

Canadians getting more WP7 devices with hardware keyboards

5621-dell-venue-pro-windows-phone-7-keyboard_thumb

I’m partial to physical keyboards, because for the life of me, I just can’t achieve the same kind accuracy and speed on a virtual keyboard. That’s why I’m happy to hear Microsoft’s intent on bringing more QWERTY-packing Windows Phone 7 devices to the Canadian market.

LG Optimus smartphone and tablet launched on Android 2.2

LG Optimus Android 2.2 devices launched

Why announce a single device when you can announce a whole new brand with a complete new lineup of devices? Apparently, that’s the strategy that LG is taking with its new Optimus series. The main feature of this line is that they will all be powered by Google Android 2.2 froyo, at least for now. Optimus devices include both high-end and entry-level Android devices, so the latter will likely be left out of future upgrades to Gingerbread.

Taking aim at budget conscious consumers who are tantalized by all the touchscreen goodness they’ve seen fingering about with the HTC Incredible and iPhone 4, the LG Sentio will get your fingers tapping at a third of the price. Offered on the T-Mobile network, the Sentio’s low-price appeal has a little bit of high-end features. virgin-mobile

Just because you want to have an unlimited plan doesn’t mean that you have to break the bank. This comes from an unverified source, but it seems that Virgin Mobile is about to unleash one of the cheapest “unlimited” plans that I have seen for some time. How cheap? How does twenty-five bucks sound?
