The Sony range of Xperia phones will soon be joined by a new budget minded device, if these leaked photos and rumored specifications are found to be genuine.

According to the leak, the S39h will be a 4.3-inch 720p Android phone, and will go on sale in China to compete in the fiercely competitive smartphone market. A full specification sheet hasn’t been made available yet, but tipsters suggest the phone to offer dual-sim support, and either a 5 or 8 mega-pixel rear camera. The Xperia S39h might even end up being powered by a quad-core Mediatek chip, if reports in China are to be believed.

Personally I’m not a fan of the design of the S39h and believe Sony will need to improve their styling to compete with high spec, low-cost phone offered by local Chinese brands. What do you think of the S39h, how does it compare to other Chinese-marketed handsets out there?

Fans of Blackberry’s QWERTY equipped phones will be interested to hear that a new budget-oriented phone could be making an appearance next week at the Blackberry Live conference.

The news comes in the form of a leaked photo of the R10 along with purported specifications from Chinese website DGtle. According to their sources the Blackberry R10 will feature the same 3.1-inch display and 2GB RAM as the more costly Q10 but with a lower spec 5 mega-pixel camera, 8GB ROM and just an 1800mAh battery.

The R10 will be aimed at the entry-level market but would also make a great replacement for anyone wanting to update their older Curve handset. What’s interesting is that Blackberry has said that they will be focusing mostly on the high-end with BB10, so either they’ve changed their mind or they are simply billing this as their first mid-ranger. What do you think, would you be interested in a cheaper variant of the Q10? Tell us what you think in the comments below.

Those of you not familiar with the Chinese phone scene might not be aware of Beijing based phone start-up Xiaomi. The phone is currently making waves across China with the Mi2, a quad-core Snapdragon S4 phone with 2GB RAM and 720p display.

As the Mi2 has been on-sale since October, the company now looks to be getting a new flagship smartphone ready for launch later this year. The Mi3, as we believe it to be called, is rumored to have a 5-inch full HD display, 2GB RAM, Snapdragon 800 CPU, 13 mega-pixel camera and 3000mAh battery.

The phone above is a supposed prototype, however similar leaks appeared of the Mi2 last year and non of them turned out to be the real phone, so take the image with a grain of salt.

We can’t wait to see what Xiaomi has in store for their next flagship Android phone, and we’re also looking forward to next month when they are rumored to launch 2 new entry-level models, with one being powered by a Snapdragon 600 CPU.

Earlier today multiple Android phone sites excited published the following renders of the Samsung Galaxy S4. The reason everyone was so excited? Well they appeared to come from @evleaks, a notorious tipster on who is normally right on the money with his/her info.

After the initial excitement a number Android phone fans soon found the same images on the Expansys website, without evleaks watermarks! Apparently the renders were originally made by Expansys’ designer, and were later republished by @evleaks on their Twitter feed.

This type of thing happens all the time on the web, but to have such a solid source of insider info soil the reputation like this is a blow to us all! On the bright side we only have 10 days until we see the real Samsung Galaxy S4 and we can’t wait!

Unfortunately the photo of the front is to blurred and the rear photo has been obscured so there isn’t much we can learn from them.

However, further rumours suggest that the P2 could be sporting a Huawei developed 8-core processor and will be available in either a 1GB RAM or 2GB RAM version with pricing starting at around $480!

The rest of the purported specs claim that the phone will ship with a 4.7-inch FHD 1080 display, 13 mega-pixel rear camera, 3000mAh battery and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean! Pretty amazing stuff for a phone costing less that $500.

If the device makes its way to your local market, would you be interested or not?

Reports over at Android Central are suggesting that Google could be working on their very own integrated messaging application. The rumors stem from a screenshot taken of Chrome OS running a never seen before application.

From the screenshot the applications appears to be a notification bar allowing Google users to keep an eye on Google+ shares, messages, emails and other chat notifications. However, this could also be a whole lot more if synced to Android and could allow missed phone calls and SMS messages to be pushed to your PC.

If Google manages to produce an integrated messaging service it is likely to upset Apple who currently have iMessage. While this solution only works between your OSX and iOS devices, a Google solution would likely work across all platforms: Mac, PC, Chrome OS, Android and even other mobile operating systems.

What do you think, interested in such a unified messaging platform or not?

Are you the techie type that grew up disassembling your dad’s lawnmower and taking apart the microwave? If so and you are Nokia Lumia 920 owner, then listen up because this will surely interest you.

The Service Manual for the Lumia 920 has been leaked. It offers detailed instructions on how to disassemble the handset. Also included is a list of part numbers and other useful tidbits. This could save a ton of money for the techy home repairman or just the curious owner.

Keep in mind however that cracking open the phone surely voids the warranty and runs the risk of bricking the phone. So whether you plan on cracking yours open to modify it, repair it or just check the manual for personal information, you’re welcome to give it a go but do so with caution.

According to sources over at Unwiredview.com, the purported rendering was taken from an instructional video showing new customers how to install a SIM card. From the image we can see that the, unbranded phone, appears to boast a full-width 4.7-inch 1080 display, a long what appear to be a much improved front camera sensor and possible front stereo speakers.

Keep in mind this is an early rendering and the design is subject to tweaking and finalizing between now its official unveil. Based on the little we know right now, what do you think?

There you are with your 32GB iPhone, jam packed with apps, music, videos, pictures, and all sorts of other content. Don’t you wish you had some more room? It looks like Apple is finally ready to answer some of your prayers, because we’ve spotted a 64GB version of the iPhone 4 and it looks pretty darn real.

As far as we can tell, this is not a retail-ready version of the device. For starters, it has all sorts of “placeholder” markings on the back like XXGB for storage, XXXXX for model number, and BCG-AXXXXX for the FCC ID. This is not unlike the iPhone 4 that was originally “lost” in a bar ahead of the official announcement.

This is a working prototype, though, and they were able to bring up the settings screen to show that it is indeed a 64 gigabyte model. My guess is that Apple will start selling this alongside an iPhone 5 with some other new features, not unlike what they did with the 3GS when the iPhone 4 rolled into town.

If you must have the 64 gigs now, you can find it in the Hong Kong grey market for HK$13,500 (US$1,734). Yes, you’re paying that much more for some more storage space. Don’t you wish the iPhone had a microSD slot like just about every other smartphone on the market?

This Eldar guy must have a thing for a certain cell phone maker in Finland, because it seems like he is leaking a new Nokia phone every other day. He reviewed the N8 before it was released, he leaked the Nokia N9 (which may or may not be the same as the E7), and now he’s leaking the X7 with AT&T branding.

Yup, leak-happy Russian technology analyst Eldar Murtazin has yet another unannounced and unofficial look at yet another Nokia smartphone. Now, he’s not the first to leak this phone — we already saw a video of the device — but this is the first time we’ve seen it with carrier-specific branding.

You can quite plainly see the AT&T logo emblazoned near the top of the phone. If that’s the case, then it’s likely that this phone will end up on the shelves at Rogers Wireless in Canada too.

I wouldn’t go so far as to say that the Nokia X7 represents the second (or even third) coming of the N-Gage line, but the X7 is being positioned as a “gaming” phone with its quad speakers and such. How will it fare against the PlayStation Phone? Time will tell, and the longer Nokia holds out from adopting Android, the worse it gets.
