Steve Jobs today at the Apple keynote said the company will be updating devices to iOS 4.1 very soon. This update will include various fixes and enhancements, including the proximity sensor issue, Bluetooth, and iPhone 3G performance deterioration. As for enhancements, you can expect High Dynamic Range photos, HD video uploading over Wi-Fi, TV show rentals, and Game Center support. This will add multiplayer gaming, challenge friends, track scores, and an entirely new way to find games. Possibly a dedicated Game Store? This updated is slated to be released next week for the iPhone and iPod Touch.

The iPad shall not be left behind. Everything in the iOS 4.1 update will be carried over to the 4.2 update, however this one is for the iPad. That includes multitasking! New features like AirPlay, sorta like AirTunes, stream music and video from your computer to your iDevice via Wi-Fi. You will get iOS 4.2 in November, and yes, it will be available for the iPhone and iPod Touch too.

Apple’s new 6th-generation iPod Nano is basically an overgrown stamp with multitouch. No click wheel on this one, the screen is 46% smaller and 42% lighter than its predecessor. Hard volume buttons on the side, a clip on the back, and seven color options. The OS is basically streamlined for basic Nano controls, you can navigate as any other iOS device does, even twist two fingers and re-arrange by tapping and holding. It has Voiceover, FM radio, NIke+, and a pedometer. There will be a Red model available too.

Prices are set at $149 for the 8GB model, $179 for the 16GB, pre-orders begin today.
