Hundreds of Thousands of Apps Aside, Email Checking is a Major Activity for iPad Users

Some of you may wonder what people do most on their Apple iPads. Well, wonder no more. InrediMail took it upon themselves to find out and polled 4400 iPad owners and asked them a series of questions. Among those questions, 90 % of iPad owners rated accessing their email as either extremely important or very important. The research was published yesterday and helps to answer some questions in this specified niche.

Rumored iPad Mini 2 in the Works, will have Retina Display

Creators at Apple are evidently already working hard on a new higher resolution and lighter version of the iPad mini. This report comes from the Apple rumor mill DigiTimes, though it isn’t the first time we’ve heard it. Keep in mind that DigiTime’s record for getting things right is certainly mixed, though it did recently predict Apple’s addition of retina displays in the Apple Macbook and managed to get it right.

Pinch Interface Connects Phones and Tablets into One Large Display

When using the app between two or more devices, the user can ‘pinch together’ two screens by using their thumb and index fingers both on a separate device, and pinching them together, like you would when zooming in on a web page on a normal touch screen. The screens can be lined up at any angle, whether that is vertically or horizontally, and the pictures will match themselves up automatically if they become misaligned when attached.
