Rumored iPad Mini 2 in the Works, will have Retina Display

Creators at Apple are evidently already working hard on a new higher resolution and lighter version of the iPad mini. This report comes from the Apple rumor mill DigiTimes, though it isn’t the first time we’ve heard it. Keep in mind that DigiTime’s record for getting things right is certainly mixed, though it did recently predict Apple’s addition of retina displays in the Apple Macbook and managed to get it right.

Apple Cuts iPad mini Shipping Dates to Just One Week

When the Apple iPad mini first hit the retail channels, it sold out pretty quickly and the shipping dates weren’t exactly ideal. However, it seems that Apple has finally gotten its ducks in a row and the supply chain is once again ready to roll, because the shipping dates for the iPad mini have been reduced to one week.

Apple Defends the $329 Price Tag of the iPad Mini

The iPad Mini is here but some of us are finding it hard to get all that excited when similar tablets cost nearly $100 less. For $199 you can get the Nexus 7, sure it has a smaller screen but it also has a better resolution. You can even get a slightly weaker 7-inch Kindle Fire for just $169. That makes the starting price of $329 just a little hard to swallow.
