The Palm Pre was supposed to represent the resurgence of the company. The Palm Centro and Palm Treo were quickly losing market share, but the Pre was new, exciting and innovative. Unfortunately, it seems that it wasn’t quite as big a success as Palm had hoped.

Rather than focus their energies on innovating the industry and moving forward with new and exciting technology, it seems that these two juggernauts are more interested in duking it out in court. As you may have heard, Apple filed a legal complaint against HTC and it seems like this complaint could have some merit.
More specifically, the US International Trade Commission (ITC) has voted and agreed to further investigate the complaint put forth by Apple, saying that HTC stole some patents from the Cupertino-based electronics company. Steve Jobs is entering battle mode again.more →
As you may have heard, Apple has filed some legal action against HTC regarding some of its cell phone technology relating back to the iPhone. HTC disagrees and has issued a press release to express the company’s position as such.
HTC states that it “will fully defend itself” against any lawsuits and legal action that Apple may take. Taiwan-based HTC Corporation brought the HD2 to the shores of North America just a few months after it was available in Europe and Hong Kong. An announcement of its unveiling was reported to us for March 16th, that date has come, and the successor to the HTC Touch HD is officially coming to T-Mobile March 24.

T-Mobile’s hosting a special event in New York City on March 16th to lay to rest all the rumors swirling around the HTC HD2 launch date. We are expecting a March 24th release date according to a leaked roadmap, but a twitter post says it could be as early as March 23rd. Apple has announced a lawsuit against handset manufacturer HTC for violating patents it owns with the iPhone. Apple has been involved in numerous struggles over the past years defending their own patents. Potentially infringing patents of the past were most notably brought about by Kodak and Nokia. Microsoft’s CEO Steve Ballmer unveiled the companies next-generation of Windows for smartphones today: Windows Phone 7 Series. Microsoft is adapting to consumer demand and tailoring the new OS to have a “smart design” and integrated experiences between web and other applications.
