So the Facebook Phone didn’t necessarily come directly from Zuckerberg himself, but none the less, HTC had took the stage in bringing these two social phones to existence at MWC 2011. These are without a doubt the Facebook phones that were rumored last month and expected to be released at MWC.

Dual-core HTC Pyramid superphone coming May 2011

So it seems that rumors are floating around about HTC releasing the first dual-core Android smartphone. It’s codenamed Pyramid, and it will feature a dual-core 1.2 GHz Snapdragon processor (MSM8260), 4.3 inch qHD display and support for HSPA+ networks. The device has been picked up by T-Mobile and has a target release date of May 2011.

Donut. Eclair. Froyo. Gingerbread. Google Android is filled with all sorts of delectable treats, but not all phones are treated alike. Even when Google officially announces and releases a new version of its mobile operating system, you don’t get to enjoy that new Android OS right away; you have to wait for the carrier and manufacturer to push it to you (unless you like unofficial ROMs). So, who reigns supreme in this regard?

Sprint launches EVO Shift at CES

Running on the 4G network, EVO Shift and its predecessor are both lightning fast but HTC has sacrificed a few things to bring us this slimmed-down version. The 3.6” captive-touch screen display is still large enough but trimmed down from the original EVO’s 4.3”. This sacrifice may have been made in part to accommodate a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, a feature not offered on the original EVO.

HTC ThunderBolt confirmed by Rolling Stone

The lightning fast rumored HTC ThunderBolt appears to be confirmed by way of a full page ad in none other than Rolling Stone magazine. This is HTC’s first LTE phone period, and it’s headed to Verizon. HTC Mecha and Droid Incredible HD names were floating around, but it seems ThunderBolt is it and its an electric choice considering its pushing the fastest data around.
