What happens when you combine cold drinks, water guns and a tank? Apparently the armored drink carrier is what happens. This unique vehicle can store up to four 12 ounce cans of your beverage of choice and can even be controlled remotely up to 250 feet away. Thanks to its unique retractable wheels and twin propeller system is both a water glider and a land vehicle- so no matter where you are, in can deliver you drinks or bring watery destruction to nearby friends and foes alike with its built-in water gun. The 8-ounce water gun can shoot up to eight feet away, making it a useful deterrent to keep people from snagging your sodas, beers or what have you.

The tank carrier is available through Hammacher Schlemmer’s website for just $100. While this isn’t a miniscule sum, it’s really pretty reasonable considering just how awesome this thing looks. The only thing that would make this tank carrier even better would be if it had a robotic arm that could open up your fridge and grab the cans of soda remotely, load em’ up and bring them back- not likely to be an added feature in a future version of this carrier, but I dream of the possibility at least.

I’ll be jumping back into an airplane next month when I fly over to Las Vegas for the Consumer Electronics Show again. I’ve been on several flights over the course of my lifetime and, while they’re not exactly the most pleasant of experiences, I’ve come to accept them as they come. This handy invention, however, could make flying just that much easier.

Available through Hammacher Schlemmer for $39.95, the Airplane Seat Back Valet gives you much easier access to your things that usual carry-on bags.

Normally, I prefer to take the aisle seat so that I can get to the overhead bin, but even then, it’s far from convenient. If you stow your back underneath the seat in front of you, you still have a very tight space to open the pockets and get at your gear.

Yes, you could look like a total goof with this seat back valet, but it means that you don’t have to rummage around to find your iPod, passport, reading material or whatever. One inaccuracy that I see with the picture, however, is the thermal mug along the right side. I thought they wouldn’t let you bring empty liquid containers on the plane!

The season for summer road trips may be over, but that doesn’t mean that you don’t still need some suitable entertainment on the go. Do you want to watch a DVD while driving to grandma’s for Christmas dinner? Maybe you’d prefer to watch some hockey or football? With this new combo product from Hammacher Schlemmer, you can have the best of both worlds.

About the same size as a netbook computer, the portable combination HDTV and DVD player lets you enjoy both live broadcasts and your favorite movies while on the road. The HDTV side of the equation comes from an external antenna, so you’ll only be able to pick up on the free over-the-air 720p HD signals in your area. It’ll pick up standard resolution broadcasts too.

The seven-inch TFT display offers a true HD 16:9 aspect ratio, but the resolution is a mere 480 x 234 with a 400:1 contrast ratio. In this way, the whole “HDTV” thing isn’t really all its cracked up to be.

The DVD player will handle both DVDs and CDs. There’s also a built-in memory card reader (SD/MMC/MS) for viewing photographs and videos on the go. The USB port seems like it can serve a similar function.

The kicker? The Hammacher Schlemmer portable HDTV and DVD player sells for a whopping $300. Save those pennies!
