It’s summer, and many of us are headed to pools or beaches. What’s better than lounging by a pool? How about listening to music while doing it? The downside is that there is always potential for damage to your electronics, that is unless you have a waterproof case like Grace Digital Audio’s ECOXPRO Waterproof Speaker Case. This thing can go under ten feet of water and has the space to house your MP3 player or smartphone alongside other things you might take to the beach like your keys and some spending money. As you can see from the picture, this thing isn’t bulky and can fit in a pocket or purse with ease. The ECOXPRO can play up to 30 hours on three AA batteries and has a carabiner clip as well. What makes this case great, besides the fact it keeps your smartphone or player from getting wet, is that it has a speaker for blasting out loud, or you can use the waterproof headphone jack instead.

This is a handy idea for those that want to play tunes at the beach or pool without investing in a separate waterproof MP3 player, and at $79.99 it’s also not that terribly pricey. Worried about removing your smartphone or MP3 player after pressure build-up? There is a special release valve that will release the pressure slowly to prevent this from being a problem. If you are looking for something bigger, Grace also offers the Eco Terra Boombox, which is basically the same thing but bigger.

Amid a sea of millions of iDevice docks, Grace Digital has launched the FireDock, one of the first speaker docks specifically designed for Amazon’s rather popular Kindle Fire tablet. In theory, it might be possible to hook up other devices, but based on its design and fit (and name), it was clearly meant for pairing with the Fire. Besides the audio element of the dock, it also includes a USB port for charging the Fire and will also allow for an optional 2200 mAh Lit-Ion battery pack for using the dock on the go.

It’s nice to see that the Kindle Fire is now starting to get some accessory love, and overall this looks like a pretty well designed docking station for everyone’s favorite little Amazon-powered Android tablet. The Firedock is expected on July 2nd of 2012 with a suggested retail price of $129.99.

San Diego, Calif. – (March 29, 2012) – Grace Digital Inc, a leading brand of wireless indoor & outdoor audio solutions, announces the FireDock speaker dock for Kindle Fire. In a space cluttered by generic universal docks, Grace Digital announces an innovative charging speaker dock with full-range high quality stereo sound developed exclusively to enhance the Kindle Fire’s audio and video experience. Shipping July 2012, the FireDock has a MSRP of $129.99.

Engineered for Kindle Fire, the Grace FireDock accommodates the unique USB port, headphone jack and power button, all located on the bottom of the tablet. Many universal 3.5mm speaker docks don’t allow charging while in use and make it difficult to access the device’s buttons. The Grace FireDock not only charges the Kindle Fire while on AC power, but the optional (sold separately) lithium-ion battery-pack allows for maximum portability. Exclusively sized for the Kindle Fire, the rotating cradle securely holds the 7–inch tablet, while accommodating horizontal and vertical viewing angles.

“Grace Digital’s design approach on the FireDock was to provide the optimal solution around clearly defined requirements of Kindle Fire users,” says Greg Fadul, CEO of Grace Digital Audio. “There are hundreds of iPhone speaker docks, but there is no quality audio solution for the 14 million Americans who have purchased the 7-inch Kindle Fire tablet. Grace Digital engineered the FireDock as a no compromise solution to enhance Kindle Fire’s multimedia offerings such as Netflix, Pandora Internet Radio, and Amazon audio books.”

Grace Digital’s full range base ported stereo speakers and Class D Digital Amplifier, provide a crystal clear stereo sound unrivaled by generic Android docks. The FireDock for Kindle Fire will be available July 2012 at GraceDigital.com, as well as numerous online and retail outlets for $129.99. Sign up directly on Grace Digital’s web site to be emailed as soon as the dock is available.
