New Samsung Google Phone Named Galaxy Nexus, Has 4G

The Galaxy Nexus is expected to be release very soon, it’s even now listed in the VZW’s Device Management system as “Samsung Galaxy Nexus”, confirming the “G-Nex” nickname. According to the listing, the new phone will have a 4G LTE radio to take advantage of the fastest network out there.

Google sells out of Nexus One smartphones

Google has shut down their web store and stopped the sale of their Nexus One Android phone. They ordered one last batch of from HTC, and now that supply has been depleted. That’s right. Google has completely sold out of the Nexus One. We knew that this was going to be the last batch to be made directly available from Google, but we didn’t know that interest in the Nexus One would be quite this high. They sold out awfully fast, especially for a handset that isn’t exactly new anymore.

It was widely heralded as the first real “Google Phone” and now it will soon be laid out to pasture. If you were hoping to get your hands on the Google Nexus One smartphone, I highly suggest you do it very soon, because Google has placed its final order with HTC for the device. After stock from this shipment is depleted Google will no longer be selling the Nexus One through its official online store. Nada. No more. Kaput. You have plenty of other options in the Android realm, like the HTC Droid Incredible, but the Nexus One holds a special place in cell phone history.

Google Nexus One phone now shipping to Canada and AT&T USA

It’s here Canada. Google’s Nexus One phone just got released for the Canadian market and US customers on AT&T. Previous Nexus One phones would only utilize 2G and EDGE network connectivity, not the best for your Android experience, but good enough. Now Google has announced a compatible 3G version, so T-Mobile USA is no longer the only one with a Nexus offering and Canadian Rogers Wireless customers can get on board.

The phone can be purchased from Google’s phone store for $529 USD, free shipping in the USA.
