LG cancels Android 2.2 Froyo tablet slated for 2010 release

When Google released the Android operating system it was never intended to be used on large screen tablet devices. HTC Suave is Verizon’s version of G2, gets Binged

Does it look familiar? It should. From what I can gather, this is going to be very similar hardware to the HTC Desire Z and the T-Mobile G2. It has the same four-row QWERTY keyboard and a very similar looking touchscreen. Dubbed the HTC Suave, this phone appears to be lacking the Quick Keys we find on its stablemates.

Froyo could be fussy on tablets, says Google

Google has recently commented on the use of Android 2.1, Froyo – on tablets – and well, their words are nowhere near surprising. As everyone joins the tablet race, a lot of corners tend to be cut in order to become “second, to first” in a market largely dominated by Apple. The iPad has the most sales to date, and there’s still plenty of space for a successful second place.

Toshiba Folio 100 Android tablet gets official

This is the first Android tablet from Toshiba, and should it prove to be reasonably successful, I see no reason why we won’t be seeing a Folio 101 or Folio 110 somewhere in the very near future. In terms of this specific device, the Froyo-ness comes with Flash 10.1 support. That should help separate it a little more from the iPad too.
