The Samsung Galaxy S4 is more than just the new flagship phone from Sammy, it’s also the first major push by manufacturer to get their mobile phone in to each and every aspect of your daily life.

For this the S4 is going to need some accessories and it appears a full list along with pricing has been uncovered. Among the accessories include mundane things like additional batteries and flip covers, but there are some more interesting accessories such as the $129.99 Body Scale, $99.99 Game Pad and $129.99 S Band for monitoring your heart.

We can’t wait to see how these, and other, accessories will be used by app developers and can already see a whole new genre of fitness app will be on the horizon for S4 users. What do you think of the Galaxy S4, excited or not?

I sit in front of the computer all day, so I’m reasonably certain that I’m not being active enough. It might help if I had a simple way to track my activity and ensure that I’m reaching my daily goals. The Misfit Shine aims to provide that.

The Misfit Shine looks like a smoothed-out river rock and it’s about the size of a quarter. It’s designed to track your activity over the course of the day, making sure that you’re being active enough. You can wear it with the wristband, a clasp or a brooch. The Shine is made from strong aluminum and should be able to withstand daily abuse, including being waterproof.

The cool thing is that if you just tap on the Shine, it’ll display your progress by lighting up a series of LEDs. What’s more, it syncs with your iPhone without using any cables or wires. Just put the Shine on your iPhone with the app running and it does the rest. You don’t even need to pair it. I’m not at all sure how that works, but that’s awfully cool. The battery lasts about six months.

The Indiegogo campaign had a funding goal of $100,000, but as of this writing, they’ve already well exceeded $350,000 in support with nearly a whole month to go. You can secure your own with a minimum contribution of $79 with delivery expected for March 2013.

Your smartphone can be used to do so many different things, but it may not always be all that practical to be holding such a large slate in your hands. That’s why the Motorola ACTV might be so compelling; it’s an Android-based sports watch with some athletic secrets up its virtual sleeves.

Chris Hall from Pocket Lint has the opportunity to go hands on with the device and his impressions are generally positive. Yes, it looks pretty much just like the current iPod nano, but there’s more to this watch. For starters, the little lip on the back lets it slide into different straps. You can wear it as a watch, sure, but it can also slip onto your bike’s handlebars, for example.

Perhaps the niftiest trick is when you use one of the two optional headsets. These may look like regular earphones for you to enjoy your tunes while running down a trail, but these actually function as the heart rate monitors too! No more need for that messy chest strap. Considering that most folks listen to music while working out, this is a nice solution. It’s also ANT+ compatible, so you can use a range of ANT+ devices too.

Ever have one of those days where you’re sitting at your desk, feeling totally unproductive, probably reading Mobile Magazine? Well hand’s off the mouse and onto your chair. The GymyGym ergonomic exercise chair gives you all the tools for a full body workout without having to leave your desk.

Claiming to be the world’s first ergonomic exercise chair, the GymyGym comes equipped with a full-body strengthening and conditioning fitness system. Using the variety of handles and straps, the GymyGym facilitates 16 core exercises that work all the major muscle groups.

Creator (and first name lover) Adam Ben-David believes us desk-chained machine cogs are overworked, overweight and overstressed and developed the GymyGym to “support the American worker in transforming their lives by increasing their physical and mental health, self-image, fitness and creativity.”

By eliminating the hassle of going to the gym by bringing the gym to your workplace Ben-David hopes to have an impact on the overall health of the deskbound workforce and give people easy access to getting their 30 minutes of recommended daily physical activity.

At a price tag of US $599, I actually think this is pretty reasonable for an ergonomic chair/fitness system. Additional pluses: it’s made from 95% recycled material, comes in three different colors and the product site has instructional videos (the perfect excuse to get youtube un-blocked at work).
