00-toyota-rav4-ev

Electric cars are really starting to take on all forms, from sensible compact hatchbacks to full out sports cars. Falling into neither of those categories is the Toyota RAV4 EV. Classically Styled Imperia Plug-In Hybrid Is Surprisingly Quick

imperia-2011-02-18-800-01

There are at least three important aspects that are incredibly deceiving about the Imperia GP. First, while it may look like a car that is best suited for a classic car show or the Barrett-Jackson Auction, it’s actually a brand new vehicle. Sure, it’s from a “resurrect Belgian auto maker,” but this is not some old car that got restored.

E-3POD Antistatic_04

As much as we would like to believe otherwise, the conventional gas-powered car is going to be the primary mode of transport for the foreseeable future. That doesn’t mean, though, that we can’t innovate when it comes to secondary vehicles, as is the case with the E-3POD Antistatic.

H8E6456

This comes via a partnership with Tesla Motors (you know, of Tesla Roadster fame), so you know that the electric motor components are going to be pretty top notch. Electric-only Audi A2 hot hatch launching in 2012

Audi A1 Etron Concept Vehcile

I have a soft spot for hot hatches. The hatchback is functional, fun, and (typically) fuel efficient. Well, it turns out that the 2012 Audi A2 will be even more fuel efficient, because it’ll be offered as an electric-only model. Not only that, but it’s starting to sound like the German automaker will only offer the Audi A2 in its electric powertrain configuration. No gas. No diesel. Just pure electric. It’s debatable whether or not electric cars may not be the future, but they sound like a good intermediary.
