Asus has unveiled a fourth tablet at Computex 2011 to go alongside the recently announced PadFone. The Eee Pad MeMO 3D runs Android Honeycomb, has a 7″ multi-touch screen and is powered by a Qualcomm 1.2 GHz dual core processor with 1GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage.

The portrait-oriented tablet has stylus support, so you can treat the MeMO 3D like a digital notepad. The tablet also comes with a MeMIC Bluetooth hands-free headset s0 you can make calls from the device. The glasses-free 3D display allows you to watch movies and play games in 3D, but only in landscape mode due to the parallax barrier technology Asus used for the tablet.

The device has a 1.2 MP camera on the front and a 5 MP camera with LED flash on the rear of the tablet. Asus hasn’t revealed pricing or a specific release date for the Eee Pad MeMO 3D, but have suggested it would be released in late 2011. Back in January Asus said the Eee Pad MeMO without 3D would be priced around US$499-$699 at with a June 2011 release. We’ll see how much extra money they pin onto the price with the newly added 3D feature, though with the feature only being available in landscape mode, it better be a minimal price increase.

There were a lot of tablets announced at CES earlier this year and one of the units that may have flown under the radar is the Asus Eee Pad MeMO. After based on today’s confirmations, you might be a little more interested.

Yes, it was hiding in the shadows of stablemates the Eee Pad Transformer and Eee Pad Slider, but the Eee Pad MeMO is more than just a notepad and e-book reader. As it turns out, this 7-inch device will indeed ship with Android 3.0 Honeycomb right out of the box, despite running on a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8260 processor rather than the “reference platform” NVIDIA Tegra 2.

All sorts of other specs and features have now been confirmed by Asus as well. These include the microHDMI port, quad-band HSPA+ connectivity, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, microUSB (with Host support), 3.5mm headphone jack, microSDHC slot, GPS, 5MP camera, 1.2MP front-facing camera, gyroscope, g-sensor, light sensor, proximity sensor, and digital compass. We’re expecting a full gig of RAM and up to 64GB of storage capacity.

The world of seven inch tablets will quickly be heating up with updated versions of the Galaxy Tab, as well as the upcoming HTC Flyer, Dell Streak 7, and others. There’s no word on price, but the MeMO is said to survive 8 hours of video playback on a single charge, including support for full 1080p HD. The most interesting thing about this tablet is its sidekick; a mini-phone like device that connects to the MeMO via Bluetooth allowing you to control it, make calls and who knows what else, the guy in the video was probably handling it for the first time. It has a transparent display that does who knows what.
