If something more substantial than a slight nick on the screen goes wrong, they’ll either go to a professional, ask for a free replacement under warranty, or just give up and buy a new phone. HTC ThunderBolt confirmed by Rolling Stone

The lightning fast rumored HTC ThunderBolt appears to be confirmed by way of a full page ad in none other than Rolling Stone magazine. This is HTC’s first LTE phone period, and it’s headed to Verizon. HTC Mecha and Droid Incredible HD names were floating around, but it seems ThunderBolt is it and its an electric choice considering its pushing the fastest data around.

This week, I’ve had the opportunity to spend some time with the new DROID Incredible by HTC. Being an iPhone user myself, enslaved by AT&T, I look at the Droid (and Verizon) through the eyes of a newbie to the whole experience. From the moment I took this little Incredible piece of tech out of the box, I was blown away at what life could be like without an iPhone….not bad.

We knew this phone was coming and now it’s finally here. The Droid Incredible by HTC has officially launched with Verizon Wireless, offering some crazy speeds and functionality. You may have once known it simply as the HTC Incredible, the Droid Incredible could actually be even better than the Google Nexus One in many ways. For instance, you get an impressive 8.0 megapixel camera compared to the 5.0 megapixel shooter on the Nexus One. Other highlights include heavy social media integration, Android Market access, and high-speed 3G connectivity.

HTC Incredible, Verizon's substitute for the Google Nexus One

For a while there, we were told that a version of the Google Nexus One would be devised to work with the Verizon Wireless network. That made sense, since the two GSM versions of the Nexus One only worked with AT&T and T-Mobile. Well, as it turns out, Verizon isn’t getting a Nexus One after all.

That’s not to say that Verizon isn’t getting a snappy Android phone, however. In an official statement from Google, they said that they “won’t be selling a Nexus One with Verizon,” but they are encouraging customers to buy the Droid Incredible by HTC instead.

Get your HTC Droid Incredible from Verizon Wireless, only $200

Yesterday we got wind of Verizon Wireless offering the HTC Incredible as the Droid Incredible by HTC. We also learned of the specs and a release date window. Today, we gain access to a very important piece of information: the price. Verizon Wireless will be selling the Droid Incredible for $200 in stores April 29. Naturally, that’s the price you’ll pay with a new qualifying two-year contract with big red, and not the outright price if you choose to go without a service agreement.
