If the idea of knobs, buttons, and standard controls sounds like the last thing you’d wish to find in a car, look no further than Mercedes-Benz new concept control system, Dynamic & Intuitive Control Experience (DICE).

What started as motion sensing for gaming, has now poured into entertainment devices and even automobile controls. Using a series of proximity sensors to detect arm and hand movements, DICE is a gadget-lovers dream. This means that through motion sensors you can control everything from music, navigation, and social functionality. The whole system works through a heads-up display that comprises the entire windshield. If you have your heart set on getting a new Mercedes with DICE built-in, I’m sorry to disappoint you but this system probably won’t find its way into automobiles for at least a few more decades. While an interesting concept, it is also a very buggy and dangerous one.
