I know what you’re thinking, because it’s probably the same thing I was thinking: that doesn’t look like a regular router at all. Well, truth be told, the D-Link DIR-826L is a little different than conventional wireless routers and it’s on sale right now.

The D-Link DIR-826L is a wireless-N600 dual band gigabit router, but you’ll also notice that it’s called a “cloud” router. That’s because it’s possible for you to monitor your wireless network from anywhere in the world by using the available cloud apps.

As far as the regular router duties go, the D-Link Cloud Router 2000 boasts wireless-N speeds of up to 600Mbps, plus four Gigabit Ethernet ports for wired networking. The coverage is broad, thanks in part to the high-powered amplifier and the setup process is made easy with “a few clicks in your browser or a few taps on your iPad or iPhone.”

The D-Link Cloud Router 2000 (DIR-826L) normally retails for $129.99, but it’s on sale now for $77.73 through Amazon, including that free super saver shipping that we’ve come to expect.

Working as either a wireless bridge or as an access point, the D-Link DAP-1533 Wireless-N450 MediaBridge does everything that its name implies. It offers wireless speeds of up to 450Mbps through the 802.11n Wi-Fi standard. You get selectable dual-band (2.4GHz and 5GHz), 4 gigabit Ethernet ports, and USB 2.0 with SharePort Plus.

When you use it under Wireless Bridge Mode, you are able to take advantage of those four gigabit Ethernet ports to provide your devices with access to your existing wireless network, giving thems super fast speeds. That’s great for game consoles and streaming media boxes, for example. Alternatively, you can use it like a regular router and connect it to your existing wired network to extend it wirelessly.

The regular price is about $200, but Amazon has it on sale for $111.99, which represents a 44% off savings. That includes the free Super Saving Shipping too!

Recently Mobile Magazine had a post on a security camera app, iVigilo Smartcam Pro,that enables you to use your iPhone or iPad’s camera signal as a security system. Now, it it seems that D-Link is following suite with another camera security app for tablets in specific, though this one uses D-Link cameras that are connected to your network.

The D-Link app, mydlink+, works for both Android and iOS devices and allows consumers to remotely monitor their home or small office anywhere in the world through the power of the net. The app will allow you to use your tablet to monitor up to four mydlink network cameras simultaneously. Some of the supported cameras include the Day/Night Network Camera with mydlink (DCS-932L) and the Wireless N Network camera.

For those who travel regularly and want a convenient way to monitor their home or office, this could really prove handy. For those that prioritize security and already have d-link compatible cameras at home, this app is really a no-brainer.

Until the end of the year the app will be available from the App Store and Android Market for only $.99. After the limited promotion ends the price will increase to $4.99.
