Why would someone put Android on a remote control? Well, simple, because they can. Conspin, a Korean manufacturer of home entertainment products has unveiled their Android tablet-like universal remote. It connects to nearly anything in your system, be it RF (RF4CE), IR, or Wi-Fi. You can setup 50 devices to control from a database of over 10,000. If you can run Android on it, control your home entertainment equipment, that means custom apps to control your entire home are not far off. The $350 remote is coined the Andi-One URC, its available now and full of Open Source goodness.
