This iPhone 5 concept video is pretty dramatic to say the least. Siri goes as far as tracking your packages to determine arrival time, reschedules your canceled flights, oh, and not to mention the pinch to zoom that expands your iPhone 5 in to an iPad Mini, and then a full size iPad. It’s nice to dream and all, the only realistic part about this video is that new Apple mini port connector, ok, and perhaps the finger print scanning too. Check it out for your daily gadget entertainment fix from Atma Studio.

When it comes to charging your iPhone, there are certainly many different routes you can take. There is the traditional less-green method of direct AC/DC charging from a car battery or your home, and then there are alternatives like solar. What if you could use your breathe to charge your phone, though? That’s exactly what this unique concept system, the AIRE mask, is all about.

The device is the concept of Joao Paulo Lammoglia, and is designed to use your breathe through its mask to convert it to electricity thanks to tiny wind turbines. All you need to do is connect your device and breathe, that’s it. While this might not be the most practical solution for everyone, it is a pretty interesting concept and you have to applaud Lammoglia for really thinking outside the box.

According to an article in Korean ETnews, that is retold by Phandroid, the Samsung Galaxy S III may sport a 3D-capable screen. There were several wishful renderings of Samsung’s new flagship phone swirling around in the Internet recently, all of them were mildly dismissed by Samsung.

Naturally, a presumed quad-core 1.5 GHz Exynos 4412 application processor for this phone might be a good basis to include 3D visual capabilities for its screen. Real question is, how much traction the idea might gain amongst consumers? Samsung 3D TVs are still looked upon as a niche product, however, maybe a phone with 3D UI capabilities will fare better.

Imagine a carouseling 3D TouchWiz 5.0 UI on such a phone’s home screen, or on apps screen. When the icons and widgets will be rendered really in 3D, it might be actually operated better with hovering swipes than applying the regular touch swipes. That is, if Samsung will embrace Cypress Semiconductor TrueTouch technology for its rumored Super AMOLED Plus HD capacitive screen’s sensor. But just as with those renderings from Russian artists, one of which is shown here, it may never happen.

Samsung Galaxy S III is expected to show at Mobile World Congress (MWC) in February-March 2012.

While Nokia recently made it clear it is only considering tablets at this point and not yet working on them, the idea of a Nokia Tablet has still inspired the imagination of concept artists.

After positive attention for the Nokia Tab Windows 8 tablet concept, a similar designed concept device is now being shown off by YrOnimuS, under the name Nokia 1.

The new concept tablet features an 11.6-inch AMOLED screen, weighs 580 grams, is only 8.5mm thick, supports 1280×800, 2MP front camera, and has a 5MP camera at the back with 1080p video capture capable of 30 fps. The unit also features 2GB or RAM, a 7500 mAh battery, 32/64 GB of internal storage, a Wacom active digitizer, and an ARM processor.

The operating system of course, is Windows 8 for ARM.

Overall, an interesting looking device that certainly has a style that feels at home compared to existing Nokia products. Now we just need to hear official word for Nokia that they are indeed planning to enter the tablet market sooner, rather than later.

Recently, information came to light about the possibility of an Apple-branded Television set. This news came about from comments Jobs left to Walter Isaacson, the writer of the recently pubihsed biography about the former Apple CEO. In the bio, Jobs spoke of future plans for such a TV set that would possibly integrate Siri, iCloud, and more to provide a high-end multimedia experience from a wonderfully capable HDTV. Many speculations have led to it having all the technologies of an integrated Apple TV entertainment device, and more.

The news of the device has sparked the imaginations of many, including Guilherme M. Schasiepen who has created a fantastic concept design for what he believes an Apple Television should look like. The concept is named the “iTV” and features a super-thin, minimalistic styling that is decisively Apple-esque. According to the concept the device would offer abilities such as Siri Voice Control, multi-touch, FaceTime HD, AirPlay, and no-glasses 3D technology.

According to Scahsiepen, the concept would come in 32, 42, or 50 inch models with at least 1TB of internal storage. As a design concept, I honestly think it is very beautiful and could certainly look a lot like what Apple might truly design. As far as the ‘capabilities’, however, this concept is probably shooting a little too high with 1-2TB of memory and no-glasses 3D; although Apple is very good at creating cutting edge products that redefine expectations, so we really can’t be sure.

What we do know is that if such a product surfaces, Siri is likely to be part of the package. What you have to wonder though is wouldn’t it be more cost effective to just make a more powerful Apple TV Entertainment device that offered Siri, internal storage, and even possibly PVR functions? If such an Apple TV device existed I would certainly consider purchasing it, but a $2000+ priced Apple Television set? For now we will just have to wait and see.

Ford, the company which is well-known for creating four-wheeled motor cars, has unveiled something new to the world. During the Frankfurt Motor Show, Ford revealed its new breakthrough product—the electric bicycle or e-bike.

The company conceived the idea of adding an e-bike to their collection of cars after noting the increasing reliance of people on bicycles and scooters, especially in densely populated cities. This trend may be attributed to the advocacy of “carless” cities for the protection of the environment, and Ford is not just sitting complacently and waiting for the trend to pass them by.

The E-bike market has been growing rapidly which has inspired the concept by the Ford Design led by Executive Design Director Martin Smith. It’s designed to appeal to both men and women because it merges a modern yet sleek look that everybody would love.

The heart of the e-bike’s design is its strong but lightweight trapezoidal frame made out of carbon and aluminum. It also boasts of its minimalist and clean look because the electric drive is concealed from view. The e–bike also has six spoke V-design wheels which lend a sophisticated overall appearance.

A motor in the front wheel and a lithium-ion battery power the electric drive of the e-bike, and when on a full charge, the bike can run up to 85km. An integrated controller and magnetostriction sensor technology convert magnetic energy into kinetic energy and vice versa, so the leg power of the cyclist is seamlessly integrated with the motor power. Now we’ll just have to wait to see if Ford brings this to reality.

In order to connect to the internet when not near a Wi-Fi area, Mac users would need to have a separate Mi-Fi or a 3G USB Modem, not a super big deal. But an integrated 3G cellular modem would change things for the better, since it would be an out of the box solution.

The auction featured a MacBook Pro Santa Rosa, dating back to 2007 with a 3G antenna, 3G hardware and SIM card slot to be purchased “for parts” from an eBay seller who claims to have got if off Craigslist. The seller, who was able to re-assemble and get the macbook into operating condition says the data connection isn’t operable, although it is seen by the operating system.

It’s been four years since this prototype has been created and so far, no sign of integrated 3G Mac. The auction was pulled after it reached $30,000 USD and possibly received complaints from Apple.

LEDoor is a door handle and a flash light that can be detached. It does help you find your way in the middle of the night, but it leaves you and others following with no door knob. All you have to do when everything gets dark is reach for the door handle, pull it off and activate the illumination. The knob will then transform into an instant flashlight. The LEDoor also works as an emergency illuminator, providing a low intensity light in case everything goes black.

I’m not sure how easy the handle is attached back to the door and it’s also weird that people in the respective room are left with no way to open it, since there is no longer a door handle. So, if you also fear closed spaces, the LEDoor is not the best option for you. Do they expect everyone to walk around with a LEDoor handle in their pocket? Why not just keep a normal flashlight in your pocket?

Few Science Fiction fans can ignore Tron, the Disney-started franchise back in 1982. Sure, perhaps it is not regarded as “mainstream” as Star Trek, Star Wars or Doctor Who, but through its two films (as well as video games) it has slowly become a cult classic.

With that in mind the Tron inspired smartphone by Raul Galindo had been created. Aptly named the “Tron Phone,” it measures only 7mm in thickness, has a 4-inch display and a rather stylish, movie inspired light strip surrounding the sides of the device.

Although from looking at pictures the smartphone seems to be running iOS, that is certainly subject to change. Unfortunately, although the design may look futuristic, with a less than impressive screen size, xenon flash powered front and back cameras, and physical buttons that, while may look incredibly beautiful (I like Tron), are hardly appropriate for a phone sporting a “digitized universe”.

Still, we should praise Raul Galindo for designing such an interesting concept. Perhaps in the distant future, we won’t even need phones to communicate. Alas, if you are indeed a Tron fan, then this gadget is certainly for you. Even though it may not be the sharpest knife in the kitchen, it’s certainly the shiniest.

This design isn't exactly sanctioned by Fujitsu itself, it came via Yanko Design contributor Park Hyin Jin. The idea is that it takes a notebook and completely folds it up.

When you can’t decide if you want a tablet or a netbook, a slate or a notebook, you end up looking at devices that are supposed to perform both duties. You can look at something like the Eee Pad Transformer, but even that can be too bulky. So, we turn to the Fujitsu Lifebook X2 concept.

This design isn’t exactly sanctioned by Fujitsu itself, it came via Yanko Design contributor Park Hyin Jin. The idea is that it takes a notebook and completely folds it up. Open it once, and it’s almost like the old Nokia Communicator devices, except doing it with a touchscreen up top (otherwise it wouldn’t be a tablet) and a hardware (?) QWERTY keyboard down low.

Flip it open a couple more times and you get a notebook-sized device, once again with a touchscreen up top, but now you have a trackpad to join the QWERTY below. With all this folding, you get a lot of moving parts and, presumably, a seam across the upper screen. It’s probably quite thick too then.

It might be better going with something like the Acer Iconia instead, but the Lifebook X2 concept could prove to be interesting (and probably expensive) should it ever come to pass.
