Famed $35 Android tablet from India is actually made in China

It looks as though that super cheap Android tablet coming out of India isn’t actually coming from India after all. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but it is a little misleading to refer to the $35 Android device as the “Indian tablet,” since it seems to be sourced from China.

It’s almost ironic, really, when a product is manufactured in your backyard, but you can’t officially buy it before the rest of the world. At long last, the iPhone 4 will be sold in the world’s most populous country starting next month. That’s right. The iPhone is coming to China.

Apple Peel 520 case for iPod touch reviewed: Stick with the iPhone

About a week ago, we caught a glimpse of the Apple Peel 520 case, which effectively transforms an iPod touch into a nearly functional iPhone. It grants the iPod access to a cellular network for voice calls, text messages, and so on. Well, that Peel case has now been reviewed, and I’m not that excited about it as I initially was.

Special case converts iPod touch into fully-fledged iPhone?

A case called the Apple Peel 520 claims to convert a typical iPod into a fully fledged cellular phone

Up until the launch of the iPhone 4, the aesthetic differences between the iPhone 3GS and the iPod touch have been minimal. The features are largely similar too, except for that whole cellular “phone” part of the equation. Well, you can change all that with a simple new case. At least, that’s what it sounds like with the Apple Peel 520. In effect, you can slap this case onto an iPod touch and it will convert it into a functional Apple iPhone, complete with voice calling and text messaging over a cellular network.

Hanvon Chairman: e-Readers to replace cell phones

Chinese company Hanvon, makers of the Touchpad B10 tablet, are also known as Hanwang. Chairman Yingjian Liu during a keynote speech at Computex 2010, discussed the increasing popularity and evolution of the e-book reader. He proclaimed the strengths of the e-ink format and how his company was leading the way in his home country of China. Then, his declarations got very bold. He called the e-book reader the “fourth screen,” referring to TV, PC, and cell phone as the other three screens. He observed that some people say the mobile phone will replace the e-reader, but he responded by saying that the e-ink book reader will replace cell phones instead.
