RIM Plans to Release Around Six New Blackberry 10 Devices This Year

While Blackberry’s B10 event isn’t until later this month, but that doesn’t stop RIM from talking about the future of Blackberry 10 at CES this week. Specifically, the conversation turned to hardware in a recent interview conducted by Fierce Wireless. Yah, we know: there’s the BlackBerry Z10 and the Blackberry X10.

BBM App Found on Blackberry Playbook

Windows Phone 8 and Blackberry 10: Which One Are You Rooting For?

The First Two BB10 Handsets On their Way in Early 2013

According to a report from Verge, there are two new phones coming in the first quarter of 2013- both of which will (finally) run Blackberry 10. One of the models has a classic Blackberry keyboard design, the other is a long, full-touchscreen device that has a much more modernized look. It is worth noting that the Blackberry classic-styled phone still does feature a touchscreen, but has a look and feel that is in similar fashion to the Bold line.

Judge Saves The Day for RIM, Overturns Patent Verdict

With its delay of its new B10 OS, tons of rumors about possible acquisitions and other drama falling down on RIM at a regular basis, they just can’t seem to catch a break. Straight From The CEO’s Mouth: RIM Considering Licensing Out BB10

In an exclusive interview with the Telegraph, RIM’s CEO, Thorsten Heins, confesses that the company doesn’t have the the ability to compete with larger manufacturers that crank out handsets and most look at ways to get more budget smartphones out into the market. One of the ways they are now considering doing this is through the licensing of BB10.
