Fourth BlackBerry PlayBook Update Available Later This Week

The newest update from RIM offers several new functions and features. First, you can now do the pinch-to-zoom thing while watching videos. You can also finally view your photos in portrait mode, save attachments to your SD card or your phone’s internal memory, and go international with support for 15 additional languages.

Rumor: RIM PlayBook to be delayed over battery concern

The BlackBerry PlayBook is late to the tablet party, having been beaten to the punch by Apple’s iPad and then subsequently missing the holiday shopping season. That may or may not be an issue for the “corporate tablet” deceivingly named with a fun word; but it looks like RIM is enroute to missing another opportunity. And the PlayBook has apparently been hit with another delay.

BlackBerry PlayBook tablet teaser video

Well, we can garner one certain thing from this video by RIM featuring their newly unveiled BlackBerry Playbook, they want it to be everything. Projecting the BlackBerry Tablet OS on coffee tables, walls, textbook covers and vintage vinyl cabinets leads me to believe RIM wants the PlayBook to replace everything and anything we can think of.

BlackBerry Playbook tablet by RIM unveiled, WiFi only in 2011

RIM has today announced the BlackBerry Playbook tablet running on the newly revealed BlackBerry Tablet OS. The Adobe Flash touting PlayBook is doing everything Apple missed in their first round, but with millions of units already sold, Apple isn’t breaking a sweat yet. The PlayBook has dual HD cameras for the highest-quality video conferencing available from any handheld device.

RIM Black Pad $500 tablet scheduled for a November launch

The BlackBerry Torch, in many ways, is supposed to compete against the Apple iPhone 4. In much the same manner, the Apple iPad could be facing some competition from RIM’s upcoming tablet. And now, we’re hearing that the so-called BlackPad could launch this November.
