Bing Bong: Microsoft Makes Deals Mobile

Google tried to buy Groupon and that didn’t go so well. So Microsoft is taking an entirely different approach with its new Bing Deals platform: it’s not really offering any deals at all. Instead, Bing Deals will operate more like a “daily deals” aggregator, not unlike what you might already get through a site like DealRadar. Microsoft has partnered with The Dealmap to launch Bing Deals, assembling offers from Groupon, Living Social, Restaurant.com, and other related sites.

Google comes to Winphone 7 as an app, not an option

Nearly every browser on the desktop, iPhone, or Blackberry, allows the user to choose their search engine. However, Windows Phone 7 has tied up with Bing as its default search engine, which means that Bing would block any attempt to browse using any other search engine from the start screen.

HTC Suave is Verizon’s version of G2, gets Binged

Does it look familiar? It should. From what I can gather, this is going to be very similar hardware to the HTC Desire Z and the T-Mobile G2. It has the same four-row QWERTY keyboard and a very similar looking touchscreen. Dubbed the HTC Suave, this phone appears to be lacking the Quick Keys we find on its stablemates.
