Foxconn adds new factories for iPad 2

Foxconn, Apple’s overseas manufacturing partner, has added new production plants in Chengdu, China. The newly set up plants are expected to produce nearly 10,000 iPads every day. The boost in production capacity has been undertaken in order to meet the rise in demand of gadgets during the holiday season.

iOS 4.2 developers experience Wi-Fi issues, iPad update delayed

The iOS 4.2 release we were expecting to roll out today for the iPad has hit a wall. According to developers on Apple’s own discussion boards, there has been Wi-Fi connectivity issues where a 4.2 iPad would disconnect or not connect at all to the Internet after establishing a connection. No Internet on the iPad is a bad thing.

Apple’s iOS Update: Pre-release rumors

One thing that all of us do quite frequently (though some do it less frequently than others) is printing – documents, photos and what not! Apple users are perhaps expecting a treat coming their way as far as printing is concerned, and if rumors are anything to go by, the next software update for iOS will feature wireless printing, for not just iPad but even iPhone and iPod Touch.

Apple extends FaceTime video chat to Mac computers

Apple announced during its “Back to Mac” event earlier today that FaceTime is indeed bound for the Mac and the beta version is available for download right now. Video chatting isn’t exactly anything new, on both mobile devices and especially on a full computer, but Apple wants to sell it to us on the novelty factor.

Apple today refreshed the Mac Book Air line after two entire years of a successful first generation product. Dropping both solid state and hard disk drives for the use of Flash. No not that Flash, Flash memory. Booting is no longer a word, it just turns on.

Refreshed MacBook Air line to start at under $1,000

There’s a new version of the iPhone every year. There’s probably going to be a new iPad in the next few months. What about the MacBook Air? That notebook has been left largely untouched for some time, but it looks like that’s about to change. A refresh for the MBA is on the way and it’s coming with a price cut to boot.
