Joby brings bendy Gorillapod arms to the iPad

Joby has been known for its popular, and recognizable bendy tripod for your camera and mobile devices. You can morph and shape them into just about any configuration you want. At this year’s CES in Joby has added to their line up to include two new stands for the iPad, which they did not have any products for previously. Their new additions are the Ori Case for the iPad, which is a more set and mechanical looking piece, and the Yogi Case, which is their traditional go to design adapted for the iPad.

iPad 2 mock-up pops up at CES

Though pre-emptive cases for the yet-unreleased iPad 2 are nothing new, it's the machined aluminum mock-up of the second-generation iPad inside this one's sleek, black leather covers that really demands attention. Though we won't know exactly where the specs came from, it seems absurd Dexim would go through all the trouble of designing a tight-fitting sleeve for it – which, by the way, the original iPad doesn't fit into – if they weren't absolutely certain about its accuracy.

Apple’s App store set to pull in $2 billion in 2011

Gartner estimated the app market had hit $4 billion in 2010, and will grow to $27 billion by 2013. With Apple's app store expected to pull in $2 billion this year alone. Add to that the rumor of a February launch of an iPhone that works on Verizon -– the largest network in the U.S. -- greater availability will mean more new users with new phones to fill with new apps.

Foxconn adds new factories for iPad 2

Foxconn, Apple's overseas manufacturing partner, has added new production plants in Chengdu, China. The newly set up plants are expected to produce nearly 10,000 iPads every day. The boost in production capacity has been undertaken in order to meet the rise in demand of gadgets during the holiday season.
