Motorola XOOM minimum advertised price pegged at $800

If you were hoping that Motorola’s Honeycomb-powered tablet would be able to undercut the pricing of the iEquivalent, you’re going to be sorely disappointed. A leaked Verizon memo seems to indicate that the minimum advertised price (MAP) for the XOOM tablet is a cool $799.

Google teases with Android 3.0 Honeycomb video for tablets

Google’s latest Android version 3.0, Honeycomb just got a bit sweeter with the release of a teaser video. Google is showing Honeycomb at CES, and it appeared first on the Motorola XOOM Android tablet. Google touts Honeycomb as being the first Android OS designed “Entirely for Tablets.”

Toshiba’s Next-Gen Android Honeycomb dual-core tablet

This would have been the perfect way to compare the two side-by-side, too. The XOOM and the Next-Gen pack the same dual-core NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor, sport the same 10.1″ HD screen with 1280×800 resolution and even the same 2MP front and 5MP back camera specs. They both even have HDMI-out.

MSI planning Windows tablets with Intel Oak Trail platform in Q1
